For everyone saying the "Prince outlived Mike Jack" line, it doesn't actually mean what y'all think it means. Drake compared himself to being as great as MJ in the diss song to Kendrick titled "First Person Shooter". For context, Prince and MJ had popular beef going on between themselves during their career. Michael Jackson died in 2009 but Prince lived on for 7 more years. So, that line is Kendrick saying to Drake that in this beef he will be the one to come out on top. It means 0 disrespect to MJ because he never said Prince was better, he just meant he would have the last laugh in the end.

Played nearly every instrument (legendary guitarist), he made music in so many styles of music, not only pop. Kendrick is also exploring as an artist, best hiphop artist alive. Music is always subjective , its not a competition

I’m glad that to pimp a butterfly got the recognition it deserved. That’s a real and genuine hip hop album through and through with the jazz, blues, boombap and so many other influences over every single track. And my god the writing for each and every track was unlike anything I’ve ever read before. Truly a once in a lifetime experience for me being such a massive fan of Kendrick’s. That album hit me at just the right time too I was 16 years old and in one of the darkest places I’d ever been at in my life and that album really helped me get through a lot of the emotions swirling in my head at that time. Will forever love this album an instant and forever classic a 100% masterpiece.
