God damn i hate this band. Don't get me wrong, dirty south and southern rock opera are some of the best albums I've ever heard. But holy shit Patterson, no one cares what you have to say. You can have whatever opinion you want, but don't shove it down our throats. I didn't pay to see you in Hal and Mals last year to stare at a black lives matter sign and hear how you think Trump is evil. Look, you and Cooley are some of the best songwriters EVER, but this political bullshit docent belong in your catalog. And if your response is "if you don't like it then stop listening" then I'm way ahead of you. I hope you go back to the southern guitar stuff. Until then i'll be listening to when you guys wrote MUSIC.

Shut the fuck up. Music and Rock N Roll has ALWAYS been fucking political, and usually from a left-wing perspective. Eat shit.

The Jake ™ calm the hell down dude. Sorry I have an opinion. I didn't think disliking some idiotic opinions makes me a hick. I'm just saying it like I want to, so you can deal with it. The last thing you should do to get the high ground for liberals is the scream "fuck off hick!!!" You are a great example of a liberal and a shitty example of a person

The Jake ™ ooooh someone changed their comment!!!

The Jake ™ and I'm not supposed to express mine? Dude I listen to music to get away from the world. And hearing this only reminds me of all the shit that liberals fall for. It pisses me off. So I'm expressing my opinion just as much as he is.

DBT has always been political man. I'll admit it's more "in your face" now, however you have to admit that's understandable given all the shit that's been going on in our country. I say this to you regardless of political affiliation/background. Some of the greatest music of all time is politically driven in message. Just off impression it sort of seems like you're letting their expressions and views bother you a bit more than it should. I would definitely classify myself as a bit more liberal than conservative, but I consider myself an independent. I see the faults in both parties and I listen to what Hood and Cooley have to say. Do I agree 100% with everything they've written? No. To be fair, I don't think anyone should be THAT much in agreement with any artist or person. There is an absolute truth in their writings and messages however. I feel like some restraint likely would benefit them, but overall.. I don't disagree with them calling out blatant fascism, racism, and abuse of power in our country. If anything that makes me respect them more.
