I did. Seeing the signs stagnantly I didn't know where they would be out in real world. But now I have seen them so yes, much better.

I'm doing my first motorway drive today (just one junction to start with) and I'm so nervous about the slip roads as opposed to the motorway itself. This is really clear and useful. Thank you!

Some exit motorway don’t have count down markers

The only ones which don’t have countdown markers should be the ones where the exit is a drop lane - in other words you are just following the lane as the whole lane leaves the motorway. In these cases countdown markers are not required as everyone in that lane (should) be going to the same place and no indication is required. These are normally well signed by overhead gantry signs and different road markings as well. If you know of a slip road exit (where you turn off rather than following a drop lane) which doesn’t have countdown markers I’d be interested to know where it is.

What should the speed be on a decelerating lane (slip road) coming off a motorway? Because only at the end of the slip road in the clip the motorway regulations were crossed (ie 70mph)? Help by elaborating please.

You have to stop in the end anyway for a red light to enter a roundabout so just prepare to slow down until you stop at the light / give way line.
