With ladies golf now having more of a global outreach across multiple continents since the inception of the Solheim Cup in 1990, the current structure of this transatlantic competition has become outdated. As opposed to 35 yrs ago, nearly all of team Europe's players now compete regularly on the LPGA rather than the LET. If women's golf really wants to be proactive and visionary, they'd find a way to restructure this tournament to include more of the world's top ranked players. Such as making it a 4-team competition of: Team Europe, Team North America, Team Asia, Team South of the Equator. How many fans would love to see the likes of a Brooke, Lydia, Jin Young, Minjee or Gaby having the opportunity to team up in this type of format. ⛳

Agree, basically a women’s version of the President’s Cup. My only concern would be how much traction they could generate with fans. Europe is a much tighter knit group, much like the men. There’s a huge difference between Ryder Cup interest and President Cup interest.

I have been looking for someone else to give their opinion on the pairings so thank you! I hadn't quite considered the Jennifer megan combination yet but that is one on there that I really like!
