Excellent video. Brings back a lot of memories. I went to Murry school then pomhi till 1992, before leaving for US. I always wonder how Boroko, korobosea 6mile, and other places must have now changed. Thanks again.

We lived in PNG from May 1976 until December 1977. We used to go to Koki market quite a lot. We didn't find it scary. Usually we were the only white people there. They were fascinated at seeing us. But they were friendly. I remember seeing all the betel nut stains on the ground. The roads were paved in the city. They became dirt as you got out pass the Airport. I think TV arrived before 1980.

What about the security in there? Is it safe? I heard there are a lot of robbery so the offices and most of houses in there make a kind of protection with high wall.

Thanks mate for your video and informative tips of travelling around the area. Can NCD remove that settlement from six mile. Its a risk for the locals in Maghi Highway travelling through that settlement to the village.Maybe open a new road next to taurama barracks and put a cop shop at the junction.Urban migration is a contributing factor to increase of petty crimes and opportunist in the city as they lay a hand on any thing to survive.

I noticed on all the videos I've watched of Port Morseby, not a single pet, dog or cat seen on any place or road etc?

Dy Combs there are lots of dogs, usually mangy, undergrad dogs. there are a few nice, well cared for dogs, but as you can imagine they are kept pretty close to home. families do have pets, but usually they can't afford to feed the animal so it is left to scavage. not as many cats because the dogs eat them. You can usually but a puppy here on the side of the road and they did have an animal shelter.

Port Moresby is not a very safe place, however there are many places you can go that are safe, there is a nice song mall with a theater, ex pat grocery stores, and other shopping complexes. Once we relaxed a bit we found POM ok. You need to know where not to go, but I was never scared in 18 months. Just be cautious at all times.

Bruce, good things happen where ever Jesus goes. He just needs someone to take him there and give his love to the people.

This place seems to be full of poverty. Shame that they declared independence from Australia, otherwise this place could be totally different with more disciplined people
