i still don't get these suv "coupes". if u want something sporty u get a coupe or a sedan. isn't the whole point of an suv to seat 5+ people and hold cargo? so i don't get these suvs that have shitty backseat head room and cramped....whats the point then of getting an suv "coupe" than?

Randy Sullivan Seck I like BMW's but not this one lol! The new 1 series is cute but I dig the Z4 more. Mercedes has a better reputation, I like being different.

The coupe 1 series I mean. The 2 series convertible is also cute. Those are affordable ranges.

I think the Benz version of this looks a lot better and I could own one without regret. I just kind of feel like a lot of BMWs are owned by the middle aged crowd and are used for commuting and shopping at WalMart... Hardly gets me interested int he brand...

***** The pricing is just what you're willing to pay. If people across the world were willing to pay anything more than economy prices for americam vehicles then you'd charge more.

It is likely different in other parts of the world, but in the US the German cars are overpriced, then they nickel and dime you for options that should be standard, then they gouge you for repair parts (and you'll need them, German cars are unreliable), and then the depreciation kills you on the back end. Meanwhile, you can have a 707 horsepower Dodge for about the price of a low level BMW 5 series. Or you could have 2 Corvettes for the price of a 911. You could have a pickup truck with 800 ft/lbs of torque for the price of a C class. My point is that the pricing isn't based on quality or value, it's based on brand consciousness. Americans are truly stupid like that, I admit it.
