This is a very nice garden layout..a really interesting looking track plan including the long spooky tunnel which I imagine is a spider magnet! Thanks for sharing...

Surprising how realistic it looks despite the smaller size, compared to the real thing. Very creative use of track.

@@driver667 I work part time in a model train shop here in Melbourne. You will be surprised how some people ask about G scale trains without understanding just how much room they need to do them justice. A smaller garden is okay but can look too crowded if you run large US locomotives etc…

I always wanted to build one outside like that. I have two questions though. How do you combat corrosion on rails and equipment and how would you retrieve a derailed train in the long tunnels? Very cool railroad.

Most rails are made of brass which is fine outside in the weather. As for the tunnel..... well, let's just hope nothing comes off the track as he may have some work to do if it does 😀👍😊

We love watching your clips, as my husband is from Eaglehawk, and he enjoys reminiscing. By the way, have you watched the English channel of "Don Coffey train drivers eye view"? He includes a lot of information on-screen, and this makes the viewing experience much more interesting.

Don Coffey and Train_Paul94 are two of the best from the U.K. Love watching them and filled with good information. Rail Cow Girl from Scandinavia (Norway I think) is also excellent for cab rides (mainly freight) specially in the winter snow.

@@driver667 I had guessed this to be the likely explanation. I mean who else thinks to model the barriered walkways alongside the tracks like that? Only someone who's used them regularly to get to and from their loco. ;-)

It has been a work over a number of years. You are correct, that stuff is not cheap and when you see it, you do say "Gee". He has done a pretty good job I reckon 👌👍😊
