Your base price is for the 23’ model. They jacked up the 24’ base price on 53AMG to $86750 from $76,950 (23’). Half the upcharge is for leather seats, panoramic view and performance exhaust - all standard in 24’. Wish it wasn’t a almost 10k increase.

Not weird. AMG's are for enthusiasts. Use the touch screen when stopped. Use the touch pad when driving to avoid distraction when reaching. Use the steering wheel buttons when driving enthusiastically to keep your hands on the wheel. Also, for enthusiasts, buttons are preferred over functions buried in screens. I owned an AMG and none of this is weird when you use it as its intended. For soccer moms, none of this will make sense.

You can option a third row seat into the GLE 53, but not the GLE 63. The 53 still has the 3rd row option if you choose. I just ordered a 24 GLE 53 and it was an option on the dealer order guide

Great review! Your performance figures as well as engine specs are for the outgoing 2023 model year. 2024 brought some power updates. Horsepower stays the same at 429hp, but they increased the torque output to 413lb ft.

Our 2024 Mercedes GLE53 broke down at 3900 miles and will be at the dealership for 1 month+ waiting for parts! I really regret buying it and will never buy a Mercedes again!

They put waaaaay too much crap on the steering wheel. It just becomes something that you will bump by mistake and screw up your dash.
