Credits for the footage of me pulling my 210 go to Jeff (78RangerXLT). Thanks for the video Jeff!
Some GoPro footage from this year's John Deere Days, hosted by the Rough & Tumble Engineers Historical Association in Kinzers, Pennsylvania. This year, I brought the John Deere 140 and 210 along (sadly, I couldn't get the 110 back together in time for the show). I met up with friends Joseph Touchton and his father, Scott, who brought their nice original JD 60 and 317 tractors to the show. Another friend of mine, Jeff (78RangerXLT) brought along his nice original JD 420 with 54 blade as well.
There were lots of nice original and restored John Deere two-cylinder and New Generation tractors on display at the show, as well as garden tractors and even some rare/unusual equipment. The show attracted a pretty good crowd. Many of the garden tractor collectors/vendors/enthusiasts were attending the 50 Years of Hydro Power show in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin at the same time as this show, so there weren't as many garden tractor enthusiasts present this year as there were last year. Nonetheless, the show was still an enjoyable one.
In the video, I take a ride through the fairgrounds on the 140 to show off some of the equipment and vendors. I also take Joseph's 317 out for a spin around the show grounds....as much as I despise 317's, his was a really nice original tractor, still sporting its original Kohler KT17 series 1 engine that sounded awesome, and I had a blast running it around. On Saturday, I joined in the garden tractor pull just for fun, and talked with some of the other pullers. Enjoy the video.
