Crazy to realize how young Aarava is. For me this is the real Hockenheim i grew up with and still say it's so much better then modern Hockenheim.

The long front engine ones are the Maserattis, the mid engine V12 bois are the ferraris, and the mid engine V8 with the chrome exhaust are the lotuses

I remember playing Microprose GP2 (released in 1995, I was playing it in 99) on this track. Fast-forward a few years, I played the new layout in F1 2018. It was a bit disappointing. I thought it was just nostalgia, but after seeing your video, I am starting to suspect it could be more.

I loved this old High Speed-Layout in "F1 97", but the 2nd Chicane (East Chicane) was then already right down-left-right to the opposite straight to the 3rd Chicane.

Last year this layout was used was in 2001. The pole time that year was 1:38.117 by Montoya. Aarava did a 1:38.432, so pretty close

You know you're an old fart when the name Hockenheim brings this version of the track into your mind, not this feeble, miserable excuse for a Hockenheim track they have nowadays :D (Plus, you can still do a mental lap in Imola, Jerez and Magny Cours with no problem...)

This mod is of the 1988 layout, would be cool to see some 1988 cars too (also maybe lookup some classic F1 cars, the 1950s Maseratis look very different to the 1960s Ferraris and Lotuses)

Are there the old Österreichring and Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez available? I'd like the former to see how modern F1 cars take the high speed corners, and the latter to see how different its original layout from its modern Tilke intervention.
