If the black BMW actually went AROUND the ROUNDabout, the white Skoda wouldn't have cut him up. I say it was his fault, and of course he's the type to reach for the horn instead of the brakes.

BMW was out of order. Tried to intimidate the other driver by driving straight at him/her. As you said IF he/she had driven the BWM correctly AROUND the roundabout , instead of actually on the wrong side of it; he/she would have had to have driven slower. Therefore the white car, would have correctly assumed had loads of time to exit.

Well no. The rule of the road is to give way to the right at roundabouts the white car blindly followed the learner and thus cut off the bmw which forces the bmw to try and steer away from the front of the white car and stop. I guarantee that had the bmw not stopped and steered away the driver of the white car was a gonner

@urbex2007 Yeah, I'm gonna be in complete control of the vehicle on my first ever driving a car. That's gonna happen... ! The first time I ever drove a car was with my uncle on a huge empty (aside from lightposts) parking lot. In first gear, I was still scared I'd hit a light post. It takes time to really feel in control. And while you're still learning this, there's traffic as well. That's why there's a driver's ed with ya, with their own set of pedals. To keep you safe. Don't bully learners. They're stressed out enough as it is already. Which they most likely will grow out of soon enough.

@urbex2007 I was a very panicked and anxious driver when I first started. It doesn't mean I was incompetent or didn't have ability, I just felt the weight and consequences of driving a lot more than others. Fast forward 2 years I feel completely competent. I'm not panicked or hesitant. Confidence doesn't equal safe. My girlfriend was a much more confident learner but made all the same mistakes I did when starting out. I would argue it's low SES adults who do not care for repercussions or for driving courteously, have long since forgotten road rules and are generally complacent are more of a danger. As long as everybody respects learners there is no reason they can't be competent drivers.

Think it's a UK thing only to have the roundabouts with nothing in the middle. Every roundabout I've seen in the rest of Europe has a physical center you can't go over for this exact reason. I don't know why they don't in the UK except to save money. It only kinda makes sense in the tiny tiny roundabouts the UK also has so semis can still cross.

As a bus/ coach driver, I thought the coach manouvre was pretty poor. If I am in the proximity of a learner/ school car, I always watch my own driving for the following reasons. A. The learner may be in the early stages, and could be intimidated by a large vehicle. B. I would rather the instructor hold me up as a good example rather than a shmuck. C. The student driver could be on test. I drive a regular school run and I am always mindful that many of the students will soon be driving too. Therefore I feel it is my duty to try to set a good example to them. As a last note, it is nice to join you on your journeys around Liverpool, as I used to drive the Essex Reds to Anfield so recognise many of the landmarks.

Also BWM driver doesn’t appear to be indicating right at the roundabout, and certainly doesn’t bother to signal left at the T-junction at the end of the road. The Skoda driver meanwhile does indicate right at the roundabout. I do grant you that straight on at the roundabout isn’t an option for the BMW, but that doesn’t preclude the need for a signal there. You can save yourself a lot of aggro on the road with the simple courtesy of indicating your intentions to other road users. In my book, if you don’t indicate, then you can’t take the moral high ground and blame other road users when they make wrong assumptions about your intended actions.

Yes Alison, from what I've seen, yes, those streets are awesome. You can't go anywhere here without seeing overgrown weeds and grass, and trash and litter everywhere. We have street signs that are so old, they are unreadable, even up close. There are all kinds of advertisement signs in the right of ways, and tacked to poles, which are illegal. But the city does nothing. I'm sure every city has parts of town that are not in the best of shape, but here, it's all over. So sad. I would live to move, but right now it's just impossible. The school system(board members)was so corrupt, another town was forced to take over. That property is the only one that is kept clean. That's why I watch with envy, seeing anyplace where there are clean streets. You should be proud. I wish I could be. Thanks for your reply. Be blessed. :)

People literally do as they like on the roads these days because they are fully aware there is barely any police presence these days. And it scares me. Every man for himself.

A similar incident happened to me like 2:40, although I was driving on a dual carriageway that is limited to 50 rather than 60, I was doing approximately 45. A merging road came up on the left and I looked to see if anything was approaching me, about half way past the merging road an Audi RS6 decides to go flying in front of me at about 60 off that road. It is absolutely terrifying they haven't been caught yet and still hold a license. Very dangerous drivers, no wonder people are scared to drive in today's era.

Is it any surprise that the roads are so chaotic when the Police can't be bothered to enforce the laws when they bother to go for a drive, they keep blaming budget cuts but there's still 121,000 police officers, there are also special constables, PCSO's and the British Transport Police along with over 60,000 civilian staff, they can't all be investigating Ted Heath.

And as for the BMW cones clip. We have the worst roadwork system of any country on the planet. 20 miles of lane closures so work can be done on a 20 ft kerb? Rubbish. Our roadworks are illegal in pretty much all of Europe because it's a joke how they're handled. So while cheeky, I really don't blame them.

Ashley, if train drivers took on some of this appalling attitude of jumping the red, there would be a spate of terrifyingly dreadful crashes. It may well be time that there were special means of justice for SPAD (Signals Passed At Danger) incidents. Either we go back to 'drive as you may' behaviour, or those who defy the law on this point are brought to book.

Green allows one to proceed "if it is safe to do so" It is not carte blanche to run into pedestrians if you can avoid it, not even they shouldn't be crossing! In the event of such an incident, if the police get so much as a sniff that the driver has not done everything they could to avoid the collision, including proceeding at a sensible speed, several books will be thrown!

You're not the only one who cops for the numpties. Most of them drive Audis or BMWs in my own experience and they seem to think that the law doesn't apply to them. The amount of red light jumpers doesn't surprise me. I saw 2 yesterday (they will be featured in my next dashcam video) just going to and from work. 1 of them resulted in a near miss. If these numpties followed the rules of the road then there would be as many accidents.

How do you accumulate so many clips in one month? 😂 Also, it's easy to mistake parked vehicles for queueing traffic at lights when they're parked so close to a junction, only been taking driving lessons in the UK for a few months now but back where I'm from its illegal to park and change lanes close to a junction and it still confuses me...

We only usually get these types in Aylesbury/Tring area (Buckinghamshire) going around like that after dark.. Herds of them meet up in the local Tesco car park.. 2:46 What on earth is that over to the right above the roof of the building .. A comet? Whatever we drive or ride it always amazes me the people that think Dual Carriageway and Motorway speeds are acceptable to do around town but town speeds are not acceptable to do on Dual Carriage ways and Motorways.. Time and a place for any speed.. If you get it right.. If say when riding a motorbike around town you keep within the speed limits then you can look forward to enjoying a faster speed on the appropriate roads.. Learning the difference really can make the difference between life and death or injury and no injury and I am guessing being an old school biker who rides all styles of bikes that the majority of accidents are sports bikes Foggy wannabees? 3:19 that lamppost has had a few too many.

One thing I have learned about road planning in England. Those road planners are smashed on some seriously hard drugs. No way would our roads be laid out. I have never seen a city with so many half width lanes, and in and out merging lanes over such short, short distances. There would be zero tolerances for such road layouts as they create a lot of needless conflict zones. No wonder English people get frustrated and prone to aggressive driving. I can just see drivers paying over $6000 a year just in personal and third party liability insurance for driving on such a bad road system.

The two cars and van are all parked at the side of the road, but the numpty at the back in the black 4x4 thinks it's a queue for the lights (and has been there for some time by the sound of it) 😜
@ram.64
@ram.64 5 жыл бұрын
@@itchyscratch6328 To be fair the van is parked poorly, sitting basically in the lane (you can see how far he is from the kerb) and has his driver's window open. It's easy to confuse that with a traffic queue as you have poor visibility from behind that van. Also, the van is parked in front of a driveway and might possibly have it's engine still on (maybe delivering something). I can't criticise the 4x4 driver, he can't know what is happening in front of that van. I guess after a while he would have tried to overtake. Out of personal experience, this happened to me and when I tried to overtake a van which seemed to be parked (he didn't move for over 5 minutes in an area of no traffic) and as soon as I tried to overtake him, he started driving with no signals whatsoever.
