Fun Facts: American Truck Simulator has a map scale of 1/20, so this actual drive would take about 20x longer. The game also scales the passage of time depending on location - time passes slower in cities and at gas stations, to prevent things like red lights & refueling taking up an unrealistic amount of in-game time.

Not Nathan at 4:30:28 dropping the amazing quote “Being joyful in the face of the forces that want you to feel despair is an act of defiance.” And then Jacob IMMEDIATELY turning to see the beautiful hazard cone man was a delight. Trans rights, happy Pride, and for all the queer and minority Drawfee fans out there things are dark but Jacob was right: the anger and hate you’re facing now is a response to how far things have come. I watched the entire stream live and while I was sadly not able to contribute (absolutely THRILLED about the 100k + raised!) I would like to make a small comment. Throughout the entirety of the stream the Drawfee crew said to chat and donators "We're just driving a truck! Y'ALL are the ones making a difference!" While the humility is admirable, I'd like to point out that's not entirely accurate. For years, Nathan, Jacob, Karina, and Julia have been making consistent effort to foster a loving, kind, and accepting community. This was not done overnight and it was not done by magic. It was done by people who truly care and genuinely try to spread love, joy, and acceptance wherever they go. And this was heard and seen by us. You accepted us, and continued to be the people we hit "Subscribe" for. So when this opportunity arose, you took the challenge, coordinated an effort and heralded an action call to your community to continue support each other and create change. Drawfee used their platform, as kind and compassionate people, and made a significant impact on this Earth. So please never forget what you all mean to this community, and the difference you make in all our individual lives and the lives of the people on this planet. Thank you 💜

Note: I will provide links at the bottom for further reading. I've seen a bunch of comments from foreigners confused about American vitriol toward the police. I thought I'd explain a little. First, it's very polarized (like most of our socio-political stuff) between near religious worship and absolute vitriol. However, I'm gonna talk about why we don't care for them. Essentially, in general, our police are extremely heavily militarized, and therefore enact excessive violence against the population regularly. Especially marginalized groups - even more so Black people. When it comes to the LGBTQ+ community specifically, the cops would actively attack and incarcerate us for existing. Stonewall was a riot against the police for doing exactly that. Moreover, our police force came out of slave catching patrols dedicated to capturing Black enslaved people (or even previously enslaved people) and forcibly bringing them back to their predominately White slavers. During pride month, I think it is super important to know our history, and police brutality - particularly against Black and brown transfeminine people - is deeply seeded in our history. Learn more about the origins of policing in the US: naacp.org/find-resources/history-explained/origins-modern-day-policing Learn more about US police brutality: www.britannica.com/topic/police-brutality-in-the-United-States-2064580 Learn more about police relations and the LGBTQ+ community: www.naacpldf.org/pride-history-police-violence/

as a european I'd like to add that it's not only the US, american cops reach a level of unhinged rotten behaviour that is absolutely off the charts, but cops and policing in general are shitty in every country, because policing in itself is a rotten concept. Recently in Italy we are experiencing a big increase in police brutality, greek police is absolutely cruel (expecially to immigrants and queer people), and the same goes for france, and these are the only countries I'm a bit more educated about. Police as an institution does not protect anyone anywhere, all it does is repress the population, expecially poor people and marginalized people af any kind, and does so with unchecked violence and cruelty that never have a consequence for them.

I live in Montana, but have been to and through Idaho a lot, and here's some more cool things about Idaho: Hells Canyon where the Snake River runs along the Oregon border cuts through immensely deep lava flows, and is deeper than the Grand Canyon. Craters of the Moon National Monument features large swaths of lava flows, some as young as 2,100 years ago. It's amazing and also has camping and very, VERY dark skies. The volcanic hot spot beneath Yellowstone previously blasted apart and then filled southern Idaho's immense valley with lava, millions of years ago. The valley is so porous as a result that it doesn't have normal rivers; the water just seeps into the ground, into an enormous underground aquifier. On those plains is the Idaho National Laboratory, the grounds of which take up more than half the area of the entire state of Rhode Island. It was an instrumental place for early nuclear reactor research, being the site of more than 50 nuclear reactors over the years. You can visit the historic Experimental Breeder Reactor 1 (EBR-1), which was the first reactor to power a town (mostly as a demonstration, but still), and has since been decommissioned and opened for public browsing/tours. Well worth a visit. Also, despite being 61% federal lands, due to its large size, low population, and large swaths of extremely rugged terrain, Idaho still has more non-federal land per person than 40 of the 50 states; about twice as much as Texas or Alabama, for example.

1:23:06 "n for loud car horn?" was me!!! I kept seeing people in chat trying to tell them but Drawgang didn't notice, so I thought maybe they'd be more likely to see it in the donation feed. Right as I sent it Julia went on her very meaningful monologue and I was sure my donation would be lost to the endlessly updating scroll, but when she read it and it WORKED I genuinely LEPT off the couch! I almost never watch live, but I'll absolutely treasure the pure joy from being one of thousands crammed in the middle seat of a Trans Rig 🥰 Thank you for this gem of hope!

Thank you to everyone who donated, even if you feel the amount was insignifigant or "nothing much" it all added up in the end to something incredible. Thanks to drawfee for using their platform to spread the message of love and support and provide a space that people can come together and spread the truth that no one is alone in all of this. The people trying to erase us want you to feel overwhelmed, they want you to feel hopeless, but we are a fact of life and we won't be erased. Buddy up, partners.

Sometimes I think about how some KZfaqrs have that one charity stream they do every so often, but Drawfee does at least one, per year, in June, and thousands, literally thousands of people show up to it. And it feels so powerful to be a part of the biggest streaming audience that day on my feed where somehow thousands of people agree to be kind and buy into a group road-trip, or a rotating batch of guests. Every year I look forward to this stream. Every year I’m reminded that we’re not alone. I at least have one group of content creators that repeatedly step up for this issue, where I never question if they’d accept me. They’ve done it every time and I think it’s beautiful.

the "you can bypass the waystation" ongoing joke is very similar to an ongoing joke in my family where my parents point out one particular car dealership to one of my sisters every time we pass it (to the point of going out of our way to call her when she's not in the car to tell her we are passing it). That car dealership sold us the minivan my mom drove *three* cars ago. We still do it.

That star that disappears at 2:25:08 is El Paso, TX (my hometown)! Howdy from El Paso! The star is on the mountain here in El Paso, and is the symbol for "home" to all who live here. I think the game glitched and they saw it through the mountain since the star is on the south side of the mountain, and they were arriving from the northeast down US 54, through the NW side of town (hence the random disappearance as the mountain loaded in in front of the star as they got closer).
