For experienced drivers, overconfidence is the problem. Examiners don’t really want an experienced driver but more importantly, a safe and careful driver.

Utilise your foreign license for 12months atlesst before attempting to get the UK license. Only problem is you will pay high insurance cost.

Please Favour is it possible to use a driver's license in a former name before marriage or the name must tally with the name on the passport (name on passport is the new name)? Is there a difference between international license and a Nigerian license? Where is the International license gotten?

For cars you use Autotrader, Gumtree, Facebook market, Autouncle. Regarding the International driving licence, the reason why they may insist in seeing your full driving licence is because unfortunately they know people forge it💁🏾.... For the insurance, as a first time UK driver, regardless of age, where you live, the car engine size, etc, you'll pay minimum £1500 for the first time. Then there is road tax which also depends on the car and where you live . 99% of Those that learned how to drive from Africa can never pass their driving test the 1st time😂😂

Hello I wonder if I can use the international license in UK even if I reside there since 5 years ago. I'm not a tourist but I want to get my license and here is hard so I'm planning to do it on my country of origin and then request the international license to use it in UK for a year to get experience

Please I don't understand how you got your national license without driving in your country before. Is that possible? If I am a non driver in my country, do I need my national license before getting the UK provisional license?

No need, even if you have an international driving licence, you'll still have to apply for the uk provisional license before getting your full uk driving licence. So it's up to you, you can come without knowing how to drive, once you get to uk you then apply for the provisional; or come with an internal license, after a year it expires, then you apply for the uk provisional license ( mind you, you can not drive with provisional license without the supervision of an experienced driver )

Husbandman is already working. As long as you have your NI number and permit to work, it's the same process for everyone, regardless of which route you used to enter the country. You apply online, go for interview, provide documents, then start working if you pass the interview.
