I have the same model and the interior has no rattles or noises at all !!!

No creaks whatsoever in my 48000 mile JCW. In fact it’s been absolutely bulletproof. 👍👍

I have a late 2019 JCW auto with all the toys and just love this car coming from a BMW M235i, I think you may have a Friday afternoon built car as mine has no rattles, squeaks or other annoyances.

Thanks for sharing to the Mini Owners Group. Shame you didn’t get on with it but I agree with a number of your points. The Clubman JCW is a great car, let’s hope enjoy it.

so glad I seen this vid, I have had my 2019 jcw for 3 weeks, and the wife is forever moaning about the gear change from certainly 1-2nd gear, shes only a passenger but she blames me for the way it judders going from 1-2nd...I have been driving for years and im sure its not my crap gear changes lol, it just seems to snatch and judder and if ya try too hard for this not to happen, it then feels like ya dragging the clutch.2nd -3rd is fine and certainly coming down the gears but it just seems to lurch setting off from 1st to second, apart from this I bloody love the car, I gone from driving a mini one 1.6 manual petrol, but this jcw is just WOW, from the moment I get in the car it just gives a me a massive smile, theres enough power for me, and I love the interior which I do agree, it does creek lol. one downer for me is the dreaded door rub and my car has it, along with many others...its a designer fault where the door seal is rubbing the paint on the inside on both driver and passenger side, it is going in to be fixed where the paintwork is brought back and the paint protection film placed over the affected area....cheers again for letting me know that someone else is experiencing the snatchy gear shift, I can now tell the wife to shush...its not my driving, its the bloody cars fault

My negative point for the manual is the long travel shifts. A quick-shift kit and sprint-booster(with this last could be hit or miss in term of smoothiness) is a good way to go....if not, worst for me is 4th to 5th. For rattles in dash, some, but nothing bad for 4 years.

Your recent content has been particularly interesting to me as I currently run a M2 Comp. which is brilliant, but I am overdue for a change of car but I can't really think of a suitable replacement, excluding A45s CLA, RS5/4/3 etc!. Having just moved house my car budget is not as healthy as it could be! I am therefore considering new Type R Sport Line, GR Yaris, new Golf R or a JCW Clubman. Oh dear, first world problems eh?! Very insightful, I’m 22 and I own a 14 plate Mini Cooper S manual, can see what you mean on the gear box, it’s a bit notchy and jalty, my friend has the exact same car but in automatic and it’s much faster and smoother, I do love my mini though and have been saving for a new car and I’m quite torn between a JCW auto or a new fiesta ST, also my interior isn’t rattley at all so I think it’s definitely a some do some don’t type thing. Definitely love the thing tho, but ready to move up to that next power bracket👍🏻

I felt that jittery feeling on a 2015 JCW that I test drove for my brother, however I own a 2019 JCW and it doesn't have that feeling at all. Super tight and changes quick. Maybe its one of those stupid hit and miss things. Like the interior rattle... lol

Cannot fault my 67 plate manual. Ps4 tyres on sport mode and good to go. Came from mk7 stage 1 golf gti and apart from practicality the mini wins for me

I test drove a 2017 model with a manual and I also did not like the jittery gear change. So I bought an automatic - which I love.

I have a 2016 cooper s with around 90k miles. I can confirm it has some slight creaks when it's cold and the road surface is not great.

Still got a few minutes more to watch but thought I’d pick up on the gear change point. Not sure what Civic Type R you owned (I had the EP3 shape) and before that a Honda DC2 Integra Type R. Nearly all manual gearboxes are pretty poor compared to those two. It’s the reason I bought a ZF8 M135i (despite trying 2 manuals to save me circa £2k) and the reason I own a DCT equipped M2C - I get the interaction but not when it’s a rubbery gear change affair then no thanks. There is however hope, prior to the M2C i test drove a few 981 Cayman manuals and they are on point - I know not cheap but so good. Hopefully when the spring comes along and you get more B road blasts the Mini handling characteristics will get you onside. Might be worth watching or even reaching out to Petrol Ped (vlogger) as he has extensive mini experience and has used a few specialists who may be able to assist. All the best, oh and whilst you’ve mentioned wheel spin problems with the mini I can assure you the M2C is a bloomin nightmare in this poor weather for grip😂😱. All the best, Kevin.

Thank you for the honest review. I was aiming for a 2021 model with a manual having exactly the same thoughts of getting more fun out of a car. Yet I live in a megapolis, so that's out of the question now If the automatic feels better.

3:54 - is my biggest bugbear, the indicators don’t easily self cancel! Came from X5 40d to a Cooper S. Love it.

Had my F56 JCW now for just over a month. My main complaint are the tyres. The Pirellis aren't great and tend to spin the tyres very easily. Safe to say I will be replacing them with PS4's! I haven't noticed the juddering on gear shifts, but I'll be keeping an eye out now lol.

I love my JCW. Iconic trim, grass is not always greener on the other side, aka enjoy your next car and move on.

i have a works 210 manual and was thinking similar things but i think it’s rev hang that ruins the gear shift (a byproduct of emissions control)drives me mad,that and an engine that is torque rich but doesn’t really like to rev probably suits an auto better no noises or rattles tho.

I have a 3 door jcw hatch 69 plate bought from new and got 8 speed Automatuc sports transmission! BEST ever! Dont drive manuals anymore as I have a life! 🤣
