The pyramids have low res placeholders since some testers got bad FPS. They will be implemented back into it when they work out the issue

Interesting, thank you! I actually noticed while flying the top bit of the second pyramid was high res so thought maybe had just seen that in trailer.

That building near the pyramid was a museum that housed Khufu's boat. It was demolished end of 2021 after the boat was moved to the new Egyptian museum.

Thank you! I'm amazed never saw one photo or story till now with all I've read on Pyramids. That's actually really interesting about the boat itself & learning about the transportation. I thought it was a tourist grab so not as outraged now! Much appreciated

Dome? Yeah, no! The Temple mount, the near geographical center of three major religions...is a warehouse. Make sure you look for Masada, the iconic impenetrable Herodian mountain fortress ...you won't be disappointed🙄 It seems, the top portion of the map got most of the initial love (Cairo/Tel Aviv) The airbases are mostly good throughout, but the Negev and the Sinai seem to be a very early work in progress. Terrain and elevation needs a lot of work

Yes I really need to do some research, my knowledge is sorely lacking 🤦 Will be interesting to see where the map ends up development wise. Great start so far tho

I see a very good of combined arm module. My has been unused for years. You just gave me a brilliant use of the my combined arms. I really wished combined Arms has vr capabilities. Well done

Yeah quite fun to play around with. I haven't got vr but someone told me they were able to use it one stage for vehicles. Can't confirm if true tho.

How is this third party map maker related to ED’s campaign engine? I’m sure ED will ramp up the development after reading your comment on here!

Yeah I think you'll find ED are concentrating efforts a lot more on core features atm including dynamic campaign. Only map/module not released they have any commitment to I think is the WW2 Marianas map. That said I'm guessing they still only have a 1-2 person team working on the campaign front. Hopefully will see first release in the next 12months

Great to hear! Always love hearing people starting out, hope you enjoy it as much as I do. What modules are you interested in trying out? As for the ground units you will need the Combined Arms module to drive them so unfortunately need to pay bit money. Not usually someone jumping in would first buy, but there is a sale on currently. Yeah combined arms mod. Good option on a sale, lots of fun exploring maps in variety of vehicles

Wrong. You want mass vegetation.. or from the air it will look barren.

Yeah I have the grass full and you're right its way too much in some places, especially cities. But the trade off is just flat textures so overall I prefer having grass turned on for the ground. Except when in the snow.. haha. That becomes a problem on South Atlantic
