this panel meter is common ground design, it means that the ( measure ground wire) and (power supply ground) is common ground.

Love your videos, Don! One small piece of well-intentioned feedback: you are clearly talented and very knowledgeable about electronics, but you say "uh's" and "um's" with great frequency. To some, these may leave the impression that you are less knowledgeable than you really are. I struggled with this for years until someone pointed it out to me. I remember being annoyed when he told me, but looking back I'm glad they did. Keep up the great work, and keep the videos coming! You've earned a subscriber here.

About 20 years ago I was told something similar. Although I understand where you are coming from I totally disagree. or at least look at it differently. I grew up proficient at math, yet did not learn to read until I was 7(English makes no damn sence.) I have been involved in engineering much of my life and when speaking about detailed or specific information, Its a big red flag for me when someone speaks in definite absalute with no hesitation. It shows me rather then thinking about the problem at hand, those people are often regurgitating pointless information. So from my point of view, someone who says "um" or stutters, isn't a thing.

That Midnight motor is a Trinity motor. I used to run that motor in my RC10T3. The sister motor was the Green Machine

That's interesting how, when the light gets really bright, you can see the LED display multiplexing.

Can i connect the small red wire (to power the display) to a switch? Ie.. I would like the circuit to work in my camper van but have the ability to turn off the display as its too bright/drains power. Of course I am wanting all the circuit to still flow with the switch (and display) off. Hope that makes sense

Is ther a power supply for the device and a power supply for the motor (load)? It takes an AC load?

I wonder would these digital meters interfere with the voltage spikes of the desulfator circuit goo.gl/kMuwYZ for pb battery? I mean with analog it's not a problem, but connect a bunch of electronics between the pulse generator and the battery to measure current and??

I got a 3 of those meters with 50A shunts and the current measurement is way way off... when 1A flows the display shows 0.65A sometimes 0.00A, when 1.5A flows display shows 1.13A when 4A flows display show 5.56A. So Current displayed in not linear, so it cannot be adjusted correct...useless. I asked the seller for a 50% partial refund. not happy, it had me chasing my tail for hours until I discovered the metes where completely off. The Voltage display is ok in the low voltage range, but was out by a massive 1.6V eg 12v displays 13.6V but there are 2 tiny trim pots on the back of the meters and voltage can be adjusted correct at least..

100% right these meter are crap but cheap. I ordered to many before I had tested them properly They do step up several digits when it should be one this due to the cheap low resolution AD converter. Those are also slow responding , when using them in an adjustable power supply is There are much more faster and accurate ones now for about the same money. I run some 24/7 and displays not always hold up. But without Ebay, I would have nothing, since local shops ask a lot of money for the same crap. Have fun

Exactly! These are somewhat useful as voltmeters, but only for giving you a "remote idea" of what the current might be (absolutely terrible accuracy). I'm glad I only bought 2. Looking for an accurate one.
