Drone Assembly / Starter FPV with DJI 03 on 5” Quad

Everyone who has been subscribing to my channel and to those who have also taken the time to watch my videos, THANK YOU. I am super happy to see when people like my videos and also enjoy when I find out I can improve with something. I take time with my builds and I go through the steps to make sure everything is going to work. You will see me install my GPS underneath a Carbon Fiber Plate, which is very OFF and has been relocated to the top of the Carbon Fiber Plate. The reason I did this is to keep it protected just incase I crash, but I will work on a 3D print instead, in the near future. The GPS being relocated is not shown in the video.
The GPS was still getting Locked in Sats but in order for me to feel more efficient with it, I moved it to the top of the frame.

👏👏Thanks for that support! The screw set is extremely durable with this kit. Best part is you'll be able to replace the arms if needed by just that one screw.

👽👽Programable to various colors, all primary colors for sure and the settings can be changed to work with a switch on your transmitter.

Great job 👏, how did you wire up the buzzer, it has three wire ryt, and you have connected gnd to tx ? And how did you configure on BF.

how did you setup betaflight and blheli for the mamba stack and the motors ? also are you running the motors at slow speed when you are doing the hover test in home ? If you do a bit more detailed video on how you setup the software side of things for this exact setup that would be helpful.

Excellent build, but it seems like the GPS should have a clear line of sight with the sky, and also the LED wires on the bottom and the LED lights themselves are going to get destroyed.

GPS is on top of the quad and the wires have survived plenty of crashes in trees already. I’m guessing they are low profile to the frame and luck

I have the same stack you do but have not build my quad yet. Does the ESC go shield up or down or does it matter? How do you like expresslrs?

It’ll be a beast when you do ! Right in the middle of ESC and FC, the shield will help where most interference is. TBS receivers are what got me started, when I tried ELRS, WOW I felt more live with the quad. Very responsive but not snappy and my flow if there was any, haha was easier to get into. Packet rate is way higher. Module are coming out with up to 1w in power bringing it up for longer range. Thanks for the question!

Hi mate, I wonder if the GPS under the O3 camera has ever given you a GPS fix? I would definiyely move it on the top (maybe linked to a battwry strap).

Yes they do! But I couldn’t find any in stock that have a continuous input for a series of LEDS

How well does the GPS work inside the frame like that?

surprisingly well, the end of the video shows sats getting picked up right away but I cut off the video pretty quick. I also mention in the description that it was relocated to the top, when the weather clears up that should be a great time to test how well it holds those sats.
