I went to Florence when I was 17 on a school trip 29 years ago. I believe it’s time to come back. I love the music, I think it’s perfect for this video. It makes the city shine brighter even being frozen in time, empty but beautiful.

Thank you for this video. We love Florence and have probably been there over 30 times. Off the train and straight to the Mercato to buy some goodies, then upstairs for one of the best pizzas in Italy. A walk in the direction of the Ponte Vecchio stopping off at Bar One for some wine, (its now sadly changed hands). We've done the bridge so many times that we now turn left and go over Ponte alle grazie. Grab a cab here and go up to the Piazzale Michelangelo (getting a cab here is much cheaper than from ponte Vecchio as it avoids a one way system). From the Piazzale enjoy the vista of the wonderful city which on a sunny day is truly stunning. Yep, I've got withdrawal symptoms and can't wait to get back there. Much love to our Italian friends ( and all Italians in general), stay safe, see you soon.

This makes me cry. We had a wonderful trip to Rome at Firenze at Christmas. So many beautiful memories of friendly people and happy interactions. I am sorry for the tragedy and loss of this pandemic. My heart is with Italy, New York City and all our world as we face the destruction of so much. I hope to get back to Italy soon in happier days.

Sad and tragic, but also inspirational. Firenze and Italians will survive, as they always do. I was here in the birthplace of western civilization in 1976. Still cherish my memories of it. Viva L'Italia per sempre e forte!

Some of these buildings were around when the Bubonic plague ravaged the city and they will be around long after Covid-19 is gone. Life will always go on.

We had a beautiful visit to Florence pre-pandemic (2018) and left part of our heart there. Amazingly lovely people, an amazing guide that introduced us to the city (thank you Adriana Bianchi!), and such incredible art and architecture. So sorry for the loss there and everywhere else. We will be back! And thanks for making this incredible video.

Sono fortunata ad essere nata e abitare a Firenze. Vederla deserta non mi rattrista, anzi mi fa piacere. È come se fosse addormentata dolcemente, dopo che tutto l'anno è "violentata" da orde di persone...

Meraviglioso. Non mi è mai capitato di vederla così, per quante volte siamo venuti in visita. Le altre volte con la confusione, ho lasciato in mano a borseggiatrori portafoglio e chiavi di casa. 2 mesi dopo mia suocera la borsa. Bella Firenze, con I suoi musei i turisti e borseggiatori...

Che meraviglia ...mi manca tanto camminare x le tue strade , l'ultima volta che sono venuta era dicembre , e con la complicità delle luci e gli addobbi natalizi eri ancora più bella. Spero di rivederti presto oramai mi sono autoadottata Fiorentina si sta troppo bene e io mi sento a casa mia..un saluto dal Friuli
