Great review, and I completely agree. In fact I'll go further and say that these Eachine Warbirds are hands down the most well built, well priced, most fun to fly 400mm RTF plane ever made, end of story. They're so damn good. I have the grey/yellow Mb-109, the Spitfire, the P40 Tomahawk and the red tail Mustang. The 6 axis gyro works like a dream in beginner and intermediate mode. They fly and handle beautifully and look incredible. They're amazingly crash resistant. At full throttle they have a respectable top speed but are so easy and fun to fly at lower speed. Flight time is way better than expected. I tend to fly them in intermediate mode because expert is pretty sensitive and you lose the gyro. In beginner mode, there's nothing better on the market for first time flyers. I fly everything, but nothing straight out of the box has ever won me over like these warbirds. They really are that awesome.

Hi. Im getting 2 of it. Mustang is a must. For the other one I was wondering if i should get p40 or the spitfire. Which one you recommend? Or they both identical and only a matter of design preferences? Thanks

@@retropad2020 I have all 10 Warbirds, and it's extremely hard to choose a favorite. Still haven't had a chance to fly my Bf109's, Zero or P40 but keep in mind that as cool as the P51 is it does have a significant drawback. It's the only Warbird that comes with foam washer landing gear wheels that do not free spin, so takeoffs and landings ALWAYS get botched. But it's still better to leave the landing gear on anyway because without it, you'll always be belly landing right on that 4 way servo underneath.The Mustang is strictly a hand launcher. All other 9 Warbirds come with far superior landing gear with much better free spinning wheels that make ground takeoffs and landings a pleasure to execute easily.

Just one tip, and I’m a newbie regarding flying, rest your little brushed motor around 15 minutes before sending it back in the air. They get hot, and hot destroys longevity of the brushed motor. Other than that. Great video and well done

I have all the series of Eachine warbirds. Excellent flying park flyers and great static displays in the office. When kids come to watch, they all get stick time. I love these...nice video !!!

I flew my first plane the other day I have flown helicopters for a few years now but no planes until now my first flight was with eachine P-51d mini mustang and after just after a couple laps I was able to fly the plane around no problem even doing loops on intermediate on my 3rd battery. Absolutely love the eachine helis and planes I got the one your flying in this video on order from good ole Banggood right now. 👍👍👍👍👍

Steve, a few thoughts / questions / comments... Q) Do you know the difference between a good landing and a great landing? A). A good landing is one you can walk away from. A great landing is one you can walk away from and still use the airplane. This airplane is a no-brainer and certainly is the most resilient RC plane I think I've ever seen. Even the price is crash-proof! I spend more than that filling up my Dodge Ram. Congrats on the great landing... you're always an inspiration to me!

Just a little more history of the P40 Tomahawk. This plane was flown by the allied volunteers in China against the Japanese prior to Pearl Harbor. Pappy Boyington, the renown fighter pilot, flew this aircraft. Boyington chalked up 22 kills overall flying this aircraft and the Corsair. It takes 5 kills to be an "Ace". Great aircraft for its time. By the way, a great video Steve! Fun is your game.

To land you need to flare. Just before you make contact with the ground add throttle and up elevator. You'll be more consistent.

I have a few of these now, including this one. Proper 4 channel control. Scale looks at a great price, and robust too, which means you're not panicked when you fly. I have therefore done some really close passes to camera and low rolls and loops, stunts I'd never dare try in another plane. So great fun. Expert mode proves to be a handful and often the planes may need trimming, plus some are better than others. They are so small and prone to wind effects it is recommended to fly with a bit of stability in mid or beginner mode, as many planes do. Mid mode is lively and you can do manual loops. For a roll go briefly into expert mode for a manual roll, or press the aero button. For a more relaxed flight just choose beginner and look a pro all day long, do crazy stunts fall out of control, then flick to beginner mode and it should level out. You can dogfight these and not worry too about a collision. It's a new way to fly. What's not to like? Mind you I have managed to almost rip a wing off hitting a goal post with a Sport Cub after several successful attempts, and I cracked the Spitfire nose with a full power dive into the ground but that's to be expected I'd say. Great review. I'm too busy fiming my flying to do a great review as you do, so keep it up.

You're spot on when you say what makes these warbirds so fun to fly is that you never feel panicked when flying them. So true! It's one of the biggest reasons I collect and nerd out so much over these planes. I never feel nervous at all flying them. The gyro works incredibly well, and I know I'm always going to leave the flying field with my warbirds in perfect condition, even if I crash. They're so damn good. And even if it's a total write off crash, they're so affordable and easy to replace.

@@bennybaubles Yes, Amazon sells replacement propellers for the Eachine. They're sold under the name "Top RC" but they're what you're looking for. As someone who collects and flies these Warbirds on a regular, if you're breaking the propellers this quickly, a couple things will drastically cut down on this. If you're flying without the landing gear installed, put them on. Second, as soon as you know you can't recover, kill the throttle so when the propeller makes contact with the ground or object it's not spinning under torque, which will nearly always cause the props to break no matter what you're flying.

I like the eachine p40 because it's design, currently i have the XK P40 and volantex mini P51D and i think this will replace my XK P40, the xk p40 is a little bit hard to fly it needs some rudder to turn well.. The eachine and volantex p51d is a good plane though! they're pretty stable even in gusty wind

@@twillison8824 familiar with drones and rc cars but have never flown a plane I was able use this first try no problems! Long flight (probably close to 15 minutes) with the only hitch being it doesn't like much wind. Very Fun and a great value I'd highly recommend! Picked up an Eachine mini copter same time with a similar experience. Great! 👍

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 flown a few times now and it's been ace. The pop off props have popped off when coming down, but still shattered 2 props into pieces which was a disappointment. Got the triple blade left only. Very careful when close to the ground so to cut the power. Have ordered 4 more props though.

Is almost impossible to take off on wheel and it is 99% impossible to land without the plane flip over. So don’t bother to try. However it is a great flying little plane and dirt cheap.

Once you have the grasp of flying this type of plane you can fly on most windy days. But if the pilot is still in the learning stage, then the less wind the better.

15 minutes of flight ✈️ time! I am surprised eachine was able to pack in so much technology into a tiny plane like that! My eachine f22 mini raptor does not have as many servos or the servos are being used differently. How many servos are on this plane?

Three I do believe, the other eachine warbirds have a single servo for ailerons, one for elevator and another for rudder.

Select V761 protocol/4-ch sub-protocol on your Multi Radio, turn on plane, sit it on its legs then hit "Bind" on the radio. Set up all the auxiliary channels listed under that protocol - Done!

@@theoztreecrasher2647 thanks a lot. Do you know if the range is better on it with a regular RC remote or worse than the one which comes with the kit? Also is it possible to set the mode switch and the other options (Acrobatic switch) on a regular remote? Asking because I accidentally dropped the remote which comes with it in water and it’s not working anymore so I am thinking if I should buy a spare remote (not sure in they just sell the remote) or can reliably use my current Tango 2 with multi protocol module. Again really appreciate the response.

Well shoot! I guess that's what's wrong with me, Steve! Down here in Coastal Texas, right next to the Gulf of Mexico. I swear!.. It's SO HUMID here (especially in the summertime) I think I'd do better if I had gills! Before air conditioning was invented, I have no clue, whatsoever, how people survived in these parts.

Hi. I see at the beginning of the Video a 3 blade propeller. Later 2 blade. Do you broke it? It comes with 3 blade propeller. Why you change it? Are the propellers from the other eachine warbirds compatible?

As long as you don’t fly it into the ground nose first at full speed, then you should be fine.

If you watch the video from beginning to end you will see it comes with the transmitter, batteries for the plane, battery charger for plane batteries and many other items.

I have a question what if you go too far and your lost due to the far away well will it come back automatically in beginner mode? And im new on planes but drones im very experienced so im pro at drones but i dont think im good at planes but i fly a 2 channel one before.

Nope, it won’t come back because it has no GPS unit in it. It will simply loose connection and the motor will shut off and it should glide down to the ground (obviously it will hit anything in front of it). Only hobby items with a GPS unit know where home is.

Hey, would really appreciate an answear. I’ve got new 120c batteries for my x220s and and i burnt the esc for the front left motor. Can this have anything to do with the battery having a 120C rating? Would really appreaciate an answear!

Not in the least. A burnt ESC usually happens because: - Water/liquid/moisture was present - Power inverted - Short circuit - Motor trying to spin when held in place (i.e., on a crash).

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thanks for the answear! This happened while one wing on one propeller broke from nowhere so the drone kind of crash but from roughly 2 meters and landes on grass. Don’t know but can the motor spinning after the propeller broke have something to do with the esc? It was the same propeller that that the ”broken” motor used. Thanks for the help!

This is how people learn to fly RC planes. You fly, you crash, you fly again until you don’t crash.

I wouldn't recommend the eachine P47 for beginners. I haven't flown the P40, but I have flown the P51 and it is much easier to fly than the 47. Also the P47 doesn't come with the break away prop hub so I ordered one online as thr props for it are very easy to break.

I never tried the P47, but the P40 in this vid is amazing and simple to fly.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 the P47 flies very tail heavy unless you fly it in beginner mode. In any other mode it is very difficult to handle.

Yes, very durable if your son crashes into grass. Prop will pop off so there is no damage.

that thing has rudder? lol it doesn't even need it, because it's so small, even full size plane models don't even have rudder movement, the ailerons are more than enough for almost any RC made out of foam, rudder comes useful when weight and RC size changes drastically then you gonna need more than just ailerons to do tight turns.
