Drone Superior, Wisconsin | Superior Bay | Saint Louis Bay

Aerial drone flying over Superior, Wisconsin shows this pretty city on the northwestern tip of Wisconsin just prior to sundown. From here you can walk on the shore of Superior Bay or Saint Louis Bay and enjoy the stars as they peak through the clouds. Truly a great small town fell with a lot of perks :)

I love to drive throughout the world whether on the right or left with either left-hand steering or right-hand steering and of course I have become accustomed to using a stick-shift with both hands :) I truly enjoy the great food and discussions with locals where I have been blessed to travel. Included on this channel are some driving and snorkeling videos and even a couple bike rides I recorded.
You can also see my beginning drone videos looking at 2016 dates when I filmed in safe nature areas. I practiced how to crash safely, how to fly with three propellers and how to ground the drone and drive to it. I practiced in snow, rain and extreme cold to make sure I understood the drones limitations before I went to the big cities. I handle a drone like I do a gun and I truly hope others do the same.

This city is so beautiful! I live a few hours away but I came across this place and am working towards a degree to cop a cop in superior. It has so much to offer in terms of a great urban feel but also beautiful scenery around it

Very good job, James...I grew up, and spent the first twenty-five years of my life in Superior. Beautiful area. In the last three to four decades, the population has gone from 35K, to about 26K. Probably contributed by the poor job market, along with the bitter cold winters. You sure know how to manuever your drone! A bit of trivia...although you're too young to be aware of this...that large hotel on Tower avenue, is the Androy Hotel, and it's been there for many, many years; couldn't tell in the video, but there was a penthouse atop the roof...maybe it's still there. In the very early days, members of the Androy family would stay there, whenever visiting in the area. During the sixties, a prominent pharmacy owner, Dan Balzer, along with his wife, lived in that penthouse, for several years. I worked at The Evening Telegram as a photographer, and a story, along with photos, appeared in the local paper then.

Thank you Frank for both the compliments and the history of this pretty city you grew up in. Sad the population went down with so much beauty within a 10-minute drive. I try not to point my drone toward windows unless I can be much farther away than I was so I did not see the penthouse. I am happy you found this video on my travel channel 😎

Thanks for the info on the Androy Hotel and the story. Do you know the appox year? I'd like to see if I can find it in our newspaper bound additions archive. At about the 2:20 mark in the video there is a good view of the Androy roof. Doesn't look like a penthouse up there.

Nice footage did you fly over the other Super 1 Foods on HWY2 at the Superior Entry Lighthouse?

Thank you😎 This was the only footage I did in this area. I stayed the night in Duluth and filmed it twice the next morning. Happy you found my travel channel.
