I love that wolf. He is so chill. So calm and doesn't let the world get to him. And he always walks away with his dignity intact and even compliments droopy's comebacks and counter attacks.

I live in Georgia, and there's a guy I know who lives right down the road from me who talks EXACTLY like that wolf. Same voice and demeanor and everything. He's a dead ringer for him. Every time I talk to him, that's all I can think about 😅Because of that, everything he says makes me wanna laugh.

Trivia of the Day: The wolf is informally known as Jubilo Wolf (a reference to the Kingdom Come/Year of Jubilo song he often whistles) since he was never given an official name. He's voiced by Daws Butler, who pioneered the voice he would later use for Huckleberry Hound here with Jubilo Wolf.

The Droopy cartoons are, in my opinion, the only cartoons ever created that could rival the incomparable Looney Tunes. The reason being, that they were created by the fabulous Tex Avery. The great Chuck Jones once stated that he worked with the two greatest short animation directors that ever lived in Tex Avery and Friz Freleng. Avery's work with MGM is the stuff of legend. Our Pint Sized, Mild Mannered hero constantly outgoing his key adversaries Butch and The Big Bad Wolf. Only this Wolf ain't so big and he ain't so bad!! In fact, he's downright loveable. This underscores the genius of Avery that he devised a character that is so relatable. THERE GOES THAT DIRTY, ROTTEN SHEEP STEALING WOLF!! "NOT ME, I HATE LAMB." Whistling off into the Sunset. The classic not so BAD GUY you couldn't dislike if you tried. Just like the second best cartoons ever created. The Droopy Classics.

The 21st century has nothing to compare to the sort of animation and humor of shows like this, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, etc, and if you did not spend a significant portion of your childhood being entertained by these shows, you missed out on something really important. But it's not too late to watch all of it now.

I will never forget these cartoons, I still laugh as hard as I did at 6=10yrs old. I am 64 now. 😂

Tex Avery was the greatest of cartoonists. Just as funny now as it was 60 years ago when I first saw Droopy.
