Drop Cloth Bulletin Board DIY using Queen Bee and Rose Toile IOD Stamps

Please join me in my studio as I share with you how to make a bulletin board using some dropcloth, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and two stamp sets from Iron Orchid Designs. This is a fun and easy project. I hope you enjoy!

What a great way to use those stamps! I made bulletin boards myself in the early 90’s, but just covered existing boards with fabric. Yours are next level!! I love the pocket idea, and the hooks at the top! I love both of your bulletin boards. I’m thinking I could buy a pretty blue fabric, and stamp with white paint instead. You’ve given me some great ideas!! I’ve just subscribed! Greetings from Ottawa, 🇨🇦

I’m not understanding how you made the pocket… how you folded it to sew it on I guess you could say?…🤔

I pressed an accordion style pleat on each side of the pocket piece and top stitched down on the inside of the accordion pleat on to the printed main board fabric piece on one side, and repeated the same on the other side. The last step was to top stitch across the bottom of the pocket. The entire pocket had all of it's edges pressed under before starting any sewing of that pocket. Once I sat at the machine, the pocket was pinned in placed and all pressed. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Michele
