1 Ping-pong ball has a mass of 2.7 grams, according to Wikipedia. 100,000 balls would then weigh 270 kg. Of course, you wouldn't be hit by all of the balls at once, but it would still be like a person falling on top of you from ten meters up. It would hurt a lot.
