I could never talk to teachers and counslars because I felt very suicidail my senior year Delt with so much truma from being sexually assaulted in six grade and in fifth grade and told to get over it in middle school at one point in fifth grade I was very suicidail due to wrong medication and was admitted to a mental hosptail after a suicide attempt I still have suicidail thoughts but my actions have decreased because I have learned to take seven anti depressionts and numb my pain out with smoking weed I use it for medical reasons because counslars I was always afraid to be admitted to another mental hosptail so I kept everything in untill I had to call the national suicide prevention life line and no one could help me from the teen crisis line because I was an adult bye the state of Texas they denied me and I said I’m disabled bye federal law my mental disabilities are what’s causing me to have a mental breakdown

Check out the book "G Dawg and the Homies". Joseph Lucero works alongside Fr Greg Boyle helping gangsters get, and stay out of the criminal life. The book is really excellent and talks about how Joseph works alongside Fr Boyle, in a group called "Homeboy Industries". Truly wonderful people.

Agree 100%. Even if I got mixed feelings for that kid, I just love the look on his face when he get positive attention for something creative (not destructive) he just did. You gotta start where you are with who you are and what you got, not just forcing a kid to drop his attitude.

What's great about Joseph is that he has the ability to immediately home in on what's important to each individual. "You like music? You got sixteen? Gimme sixteen." It might take months for a therapist or counselor to get to that point, but Joseph cuts to it in mere seconds. This guy is real.

What I love about seeing this kid rap is that he really does love music, you can see it, he was nervous but the more he got into it you could see him start to light up. He was telling his story, true music lovers know that music tells a story. Your life story, or maybe just a story about something that happened one day, it's a part of you that you're able to share with the world in your own creative way and people love it.

Yea, that's why I like Joseph so much. Of course, his main goal is to discourage people from the life they're currently living, but unlike a principal, he gives them a reason to keep going on top of that instead of just discouraging and leaving it like that.

Joseph is my favorite, I had problems in the past and my therapist would constantly lie and not show up on time. I feel like Joseph would really listen to me though, and understood what I am going through. He is an incredible human being.

my uncle is former DA and this kid would not want to have his name show up my uncles desk, if he was still a DA then he would throw this kid in prison for the 2 felony counts and whatever else this kid has done, he would be in prison for life, tried as an adult, Dr phil is trying to prevent that and bringing in Joseph shows he is serious and trying to save this young mans life, both from death and being destroyed
