You don't have to be angry because this is a made up problem. A small chunk of farmland is owned by foreigners. China makes up less 1 percent. So should we do get mad at the Germans and Canadian etc? Also, "close proximity to military bases" is very vague. How close? America has military bases everywhere. If you build anything near a city center in America it's going to be close to military base.

⁠@@brianmeegan6384 that is very interesting. Trump and Kristy N the governor of S Dakota are closely aligned. It begs to question whether or not the president has the authority to implement any laws at the federal level. It’s not like congress hasn’t brought up the issue. So much of what we purchase is made in China. Never have we been offered to buy directly from China. This started happening recently. Biden, his son and associates are unbelievably corrupt and are proven to have business dealings with China. Democrats have tried recently to tie Trump to China. The problem is with this is Trump develops real estate. An example is steel that we barely manufacture here any longer. He builds hotels and such. If Chinese diplomats stay in his hotels, he gets paid by the Chinese government. There could very well be more to this. Between the two, who knows what has or will happen. I tend to side with Trump because the dealings make sense. Like 90% of our problems, big and small could very easily be solved. Integrity is key.

We are farmers in the Midwest. As this man said, prices on land are through the roof. It’s priced so farmers can’t afford to compete. A couple of years ago we started getting letters a couple of times a month from random companies wanting to buy parcels of our land. I believe China is behind it all.

China tried to buy land here in ND, but ND did their job and investigated it, and once they found out it was China they put a stop to it. Theres also a law here that keeps majority of the land reserved for farmers only so that companies can’t come in and take over. More states should have that law.

I haven't watched mainstream American television often over the last few decades. When I have, it's usually been observationally. l wrote off Dr. Phil as just another afternoon broadcast hack. About a month ago I watched him interviewing the comedian Ron White and my thoughts about him changed. He is extremely bright, authentic and funny were my revelations. Then I see this show. Just the fact that he tackles what I would assume (gotta be careful those assumptions😂) might be an uninteresting topic for TVland but incredibly important for U.S. Citizens who still love the U.S. tells me he's not enslaved to ratings (e.g. shows on bratty teens and drug addicts, both of which I must have labored through years ago😂). Yet he still wants to go on air to inform and he is very good at his job.

I am a young Black Farmer. I left the Bay Area over 25 years ago. Bought land in Texas. I grow and sell fruits and vegetables. I have natural spring water coming out of the ground. I sell at the Farmers market. The Chinese have been trying to force Me to sell My 80 acres to them. It's scary. My land is not or has it ever been fot sale. I stay armed and have tress passed them from coming onto it.

This man speaks 100% truth with heart. And I can tell you for a fact, from first hand knowledge as a real estate agent, China has already purchased/aquired through different means (auctions, foreclosures, bankruptcies, hardships, etc.) many farm acreage in NC, and most recently tried to purchase land right next to one of our military bases. Only once the real Buyer was discovered through much research was the transaction was stopped. I have a hard time believing China's purpose in purchasing our land here is for anything good or beneficial to Americans; additionally the tactics they use certainly do not help ease the suspension!

Plus I heard on the news the amount of Chinese entering the southern border illegally is also disturbing. From everything I've read over the years, the Chinese government keeps a close eye on all their residents so if that's the case it's hard to believe these people snuck out of the country. They get our quality food and products, while we eat poison and enjoy products that never work as intended. People don't realize that everything they buy from China, enables the Chinese to buy our country. Those dollars don't disappear. They are 100x more efficient than us and produces things low enough to knock out the rest of competition and then increase prices as much as they want. Look at things like batteries.

Wow!!! And the focus has been on the Mexican border…immigrants from South America. I remember growing up…a migrant farm worker the only people working the field crops were Mexicans ,Guatemalans, Hondurans….their focus was a better life for their families. This was in the 70s 80s 90s…they contributed to the economic growth of this country. On the other hand look at who owns most convenience stores (gas) and if you think about it look at your franchises…and now agriculture. Brave man for bringing this to light. The immigration process needs to change. God bless him and God bless this country.
