I completed chapter on Agni from the book Aghora yesterday only and amaze to find this video today. I don’t know sir whether you read comments here or not, but if you do I want to let you know that Aghora: at the left hand of god helped me immensely. I had been in dilemma over few things and I was miserable. The book cleared many things out of my mind and provide me some guidance on which direction I need to go in life. I’m thankful to Vimalananda and you.

Thank you Dr Swabodha… your Aghora trilogy has been such a deep experience to me. I first read it when I was looking for some “fiction” entertainment. Later I read them again to remember certain entertaining stories. I skipped so many pages in all the book as the topics were too dense for my mindset back then. A couple of months ago I devoured your trilogy, this time i read it for the spiritual treasure your books offered. I teared up at certain places, especially when i sensed your love towards your guru swami Vimalananda. I was wishing so bad to have guru so loving like him to throw myself at that gurus feet and to surrender to my guru. Thank you for this spiritual gem of a trilogy… it is my going to be a trilogy i will constantly revisit to gain deeper knowledge 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 words aren’t sufficient to thank you for your books.

When I was a child , I had a thought in my mind that when I will die, I would say ram ram and lord ram will come to take me with him. I don't know where this though popped in my mind but now , when I read Aghori 1 , there was mention about this in the book. Strange!

I'm re-reading your books Aghora. Interestingly they've been sitting in my bookshelf for at least 10 years. My first attempt to read them was to fulfill a requirement during a tantra course. Bsck them I found them too dense and confusing so I was completely lost, as I was obviously not ready to receive the teachings. A couple of weeks ago I felt inclined to read them again and now I'm in awe and fascinated at so much wisdom. So trying to find more I came across your channel and resources. This 40min chat was really enlightening. Thank you very much for sharing all this. I might venture in adding this to my routine as soon as I finish reading your books. Much love and appreciation for your teachings.

Respected Sir, Great Content - Thank You. Could I request for a content on Sankalpa: What does it mean? Is there anything that we need to imagine while doing Sankalpa? For regular people, what is the way to do Sankalpa ? Do we need to do Sankalpa for even regular daily practices such as Japa or is mainly for larger poojas and homa? Any other guidance on important points from your side would also be welcome.

A wonderful and helpful video, thank you. I have learned Agni Hotra, however would like to elaborate on this practice, as you suggested. Would you mind offering a handful of useful mantras to use to specifically open / close the homa? Some you mentioned, but with the English intention only (e.g mantras to ancestors, Ganapati, Parvati, Siva, Krishna). Would be immensely grateful for some guidance around simple Sanskrit mantras to use in these examples. Many thanks.

4:00 👌🏽👌🏽. Sudarshana chakra 30:00 . Should have a Personal relationship with fire. Small Kunda with just tiny ghee, flakes of sandalwood. One on one hand multiplied and returned tonus, and thats why sweet things, and mantras devotion help burn negative karmas. Agni hotra is very simplified form. Decide on a method or create own, Doesnt have to be rigid, but needs to be sincere, its a natural force, kung yogi fire water dont try to become close with them cause if you do whatever you commit you better do otherwise they do things differently, can bless curse burn transform or drown or reward or kill, dont be too cautious or to little. Can even dig a kunda, or copper is auspicious metal, iron pot, aluminum. Not cowdung for his effect, preferred was wood. Mango wood maybe, fruit tree, nut three, or whatever you have, main is learn its characteristics, your job is keeping the fire burning. Better to keep ash contained, you are responsible for the fire, causing it take spiritual vibration same with respect to adh, drink it or on woonds or sprinkle, not somewhere people can step it, barry it, or river or plants, water cool the earth of kunda. Not iritating the earth making it marsian. Unless you want to do marana ritual. 16 black sesamy seed. 4 parts of barley (pearl barley otherwise), 1 part white rice mainly has unbroken whole grains. Make sure no insects in them, remove them. Honey and ghee to that mixture to make sticky. Maybe quionia or chocolate. Maybe Sacred or valuable herbs. If have nothing else, use white sugar, can offer fruits or nuts, sweet and tasty, cause you are feeding the fire as if a small child, to make it grow And happy. Select all and put aside, don’t taste it or even smell it. Kund shapes: star shape, circle or square earth element for stability, face east or north in our hemisphere. Are auspicious directions. East is good cause, sun new beginnings, before sitting create mentally and physically a circle around you mentally or physically, invite all etherial beings in neighborhood but not too close or in the fire which they want, best is 2 meter. When ready: sit compose reality, request gurur or deity or saint or etherial being to be present in the fire to be present, if done properly you can very likely feel that, and then you can start the fire, then can create fire with matchess. Can purify area around you with incence, can purify the Kund with mantras you can find for that or rituals for that, purify your eyes and mouth, have a yantra in it cause it molds the fire, to come out of it in particular way. He used six pointed star sudarshana chakra, meaning good sight(relates to fire) good belief, not only sight of this reality but also other realities, triangle facing upward is duality moving to unity, other one is from unity to duality, is meeeting of unity and duality and apana and prana and thats where creation can start. Can use other yantras. Put camphor or resins or frankincense to take match and make fire. Then can put tiny peaces of wood on it then build it up, he would use ghee not oil, coconut oil is maybe to intense fire. Too much ghee puts fire out, experiment, how much breathing space between woods, sugar keeps fire alive well. When fire is started use the mantra you decided for, and maybe only use that mantra for half hour or 3 hours , however you want, vimalananda even before started he would salute the earth, beings in the neighborhood, ancestors, deities, grama and stava devatas, and his gurus. Then with the fire would offer to ganesha then his mother parvati shakti, then shiva then his ishta devata krishna, somotimes focus on deity more than other like ganesh or hanuman, can do so aswell, good to invoke ganesh to minimize obstacles and shakti to give you power and shiva to give you awareness firm, then vishnu cause he is supreme incarnation of the godhead who inturn focuses on shiva to be able to be what he is. Or can choose own deities for these or supreme reality with no gunas though thats more difficult, cause you are using fire that has gunas to reach nirguna, possible but more difficult. Dont try to see things in the fire but allow the fire to show you things, same with hearing when it crackles to communicate. If doing it in nature dont be surpriced if any insect or animal come and harmonize with you because they often enjoy this. When feel that you have done what you had to say thank you o ishta devata, it was good but i have to end please go back to your place svasthana gatchan be comfortable there, then bow down to the fire. Make sure you time that when you ready to leave by that time fire has slowly been bured out because you gave less and less some say no peaces of wood should be in it. He faned it usually until there was only very fine ash left in it, dont blow on it directly with mouth but do it via the hand. Be polite with fire. If cant do homa urself do tratak with lamp or candle and focus on it on eye level and arms length and on its tip where it loses its shape and its luminosity so you can reestablish your relationship with the fire and be healthy and assist fire element in your organism to move you in right direction

Thank you Dr. Robert for this very informative video. Does Homa performed on certain lunar days of waxing or waning fortnight of the moon have any specific effects? For example is it more desirable to perform Homa on a full moon day as opposed to on a new moon day?🙏 🙏
@DrRobertSvoboda
@DrRobertSvoboda 4 жыл бұрын
During the Vedic era sacrifices were performed on both the new moon & full moon days. Each lunar day has its own characteristics, and many new moons & full moons have quite specific attributes according to the Indian lunar calendar (like Diwali, a new moon in Oct or Nov, and Hanuman Jayanti, which is just coming up now) As there is no simple answer to the question of which tithis (days of the lunar fortnight) are astrologically optimal for you, my suggestion is to try out homa on several of them and see what results you get Good luck!

@renukashinde2701 3 жыл бұрын
Homa is a way to directly offer food to God's. However garlic is not considered as sathvic, means cannot be used for God offerings. It is more of medicine or rajasic. Fire has to be done with dried cow dunk, mango wood, or dried coconut as a to put fire and fuel and food as ghee. Dried fruits, dried rose petals, dry coconut, black sesame seeds. Etc as offerings. Offering also changes with different gods and they offering perpose. But simple is dry cow dunk, dry coconut and ghee.
