In this video we will go over how to repair body side moldings that are peeling or otherwise lifting off of the paint from GM trucks, sport utility trucks (SUTs), and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) including the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Avalanche, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Sierra, and GMC Yukon. This problem is due to a failure of the original factory 3M trim adhesive tape over many years of weathering.
The truck illustrated is a 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche LT Black Diamond Edition, but the procedure and tools shown in this video would be applicable for any GMT900 style 2007 thru 2014 truck, SUT, or SUV with a similarly attached OEM side molding.
