Glad you explained and suggested the wood backing. I just bought this mount and already prepared myself for going into the attic to put backing in lol

I have a Vivo, ( different model ), on a 65'' screen above my fireplace. Good price and a great product. What you save with a mount like this, is that you don't need a cabinet to place it on. You could also have a wall mount, but down stairs a ceiling mount, will get it out of the way, when you need to. ( yes you do need some good bolts / large screws into wood!!)

Hey, Seba from Argentina here. Once it goes down, can you turn it? Let say I want to watch the tv from another part of my living room, can I turn the tv so I can watch it from anywhere in the room?

hello @king of projects i have a question does this mount go up and down pretty fast? ive seen other videos where people state that its really slow to come down and to retract back up.. thank you
@drueking2 жыл бұрын

Is there a place to plug the TV in on the mount or do you have to go to the outlet with the TV as well?
@drueking Жыл бұрын
I have to go to the outlet I have on the ceiling.
@bobf61 Жыл бұрын
@@drueking That's too bad. A place to plug in the TV would be a great feature on the mount..

When folded, how much space is taken up between the screen and the ceiling?
@drueking Жыл бұрын
The whole thing including the tv is about 7”. Between the tv and the ceiling is about 3.5” including the mounting panels bolted to the back of the tv

Hey now that’s it’s been 8 months . Is everything still working correctly?
@drueking Жыл бұрын
Working perfectly, it’s also my office, so I take a break from my standing desk and watch something for lunch. Not a single glitch

Can this be used outdoors? (Gazebo) Thanks
@drueking Жыл бұрын
I don’t see why not as long as it secure. The way it’s built I think it will be ok outside as long as it doesn’t get directly wet.

What is the model tv you have? I am wondering the dimensions of your 55" tv as well as the weight.
@drueking4 ай бұрын
It's a Hisense, nothing fancy to be sure, but it is not too bad on weight, if I were to guess, I would say around 20 lbs.

can it be stopped at any point of travel when lowering and raising?
@drueking2 жыл бұрын
Yes it can, you can hit stop at any time
@jamesfrederick992 жыл бұрын
Also, it is adjustable so you can set it up to always stop at a certain height.

are the front two mounting hole and the back two 16in apart?
@drueking Жыл бұрын
Not 100% sure, I can’t get the casing off, but I don’t think so. There are mounting holes on the left and right side, about 4 in apart and I think they are closer together than 16” front to back. I had to add extra framing in the attic anyway because my garage joists are 24” apart.

Can you use that usb port to power it from tv instead of connecting it to plug?
@drueking2 жыл бұрын
No, the USB port is for factory programming only. It cannot be used for power.
