Drug-induced lupus (DIL) is an idiosyncratic side effect of treatments in which symptoms overlap with those of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The spectrum of DIL constantly evolves with that of the pharmacopoeia. In this webinar you could find the current nosology of DIL, the definition for DIL, the epidemiology of DIL, the clinical and auto-antibody profile, and a small overview on the list of drugs, the pathogenesis, the treatment and prognosis.
More info about SLE can be found here: reconnet.ern-net.eu/disease-sle/

My patient had DIL which presented as pleural effusion after 18 years on etanercept for RA. Treatment is ongoing, so it may turn out that it was spontaneous SLE afterall, but many of the lab results followed the pattern of TNF-alpha blocker-induced DIL. The information presented here is incredibly useful for distinguishing between SLE and DIL. Super helpful.

I wish you had included a link to the list of 70 drugs. It's so impossibly small in the video that I can't see if any of them apply to me. I've found only ONE source that implicates Levothyroxine in DIL but what am I supposed to do? How else am I supposed to treat my Hashimoto's?

I am very sure you are an intelligent person. I disagree with you that to be allergic must be an IgE mediated response. IgG responses are allergenic as well. Furthmore, if you research Mast Cell Activation Syndrome/ Disorder, you will find that the majority reactions that those folks experience are not IgE, yet they experience all that horrible histamine release that the mast cells can produce.
