I think there are people who confuse dupes for outright copies (Revolution toed that line several times in the past) and yeah some cosmetic line owners throwing a hiss fit (ahem Kat Von Dickhead) and certain YTers snubbing drugstore brands does not help.

They did improve stupendously. They're feel and tasted like cheap lotion back in the 90's. Has the same pathetic staying power as well.

I've never been disappointed by a Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick and as a result have an embarrassing number of them!

I certainly hope that Maybelline has change their formula. My ex husband asked me not to ever buy a drugstore brand lipstick because he hated the taste. I haven’t bought a drugstore lipstick in almost 35 years. Oops, I’ll take that back. I did buy two from Remele.

So many things happened along the way but they got left behind formula wise. For a lipstick that pricey that turns your lips into a desert there are better options nowadays. They cheapened themselves further by doing collabs >.

YES! I remember when the collabs were special- remember the Hello Kitty collab? People STILL talk about it! Now they do KZfaq collabs like every other month and it’s like “urghhhh... LEARN YOUR DEMOGRAPHIC!”

YES! There's so much competition now and I know they're feeling it. For years on end they never ran discounts or sales, but most recently they've eaten some humble pie and started offering specials. Interesting!

I'm sure that's a good part of the reason why they are not listed. As much as I love Zabrena, had she listed each MAC lipstick and its dupe, I might have been tempted to not watch the whole video. Likewise, if she had listed 7 MAC shades I'm not interested in, I wouldn't have clicked play. KZfaq keeps track of videos that are not watched until the end and every presentation that is "abandoned" impacts the content creator negatively. Same thing with the advertisement...when we don't watch at least 5 seconds after "Skip Ad", the channel host gets paid a fraction of what they'd earn if we let the ad run in its entirety.

It's my "my lips but better" lipstick - I once had a random makeover at Ulta that they were doing for free and when the women was taking off my makeup she skipped my lips. I told her I was wearing a lipstick and she asked me if I was sure lolol
