Random Thought:
Belle has figured out a new thing she likes to do- roller skating! There was some sort of Pre-K health & fitness expo that we went to yesterday and the kids got to try on skates & shuffle around. After a couple of minutes spent like a baby deer trying to stand for the first time, she got the hang of it and spent about 20 minutes having the best time skating. Did you ever roller skate as a child? I remember having some field trips to skating rinks- maybe in 3rd or 4th grade. Thinking we're gonna have to get back to that now! :)

I’m always on board with dupes Emily. Finding similar products is fine but it’s the TRUE dupes (high end/luxury vs. drugstore) is where it’s at - exactly like what you’ve done here. Who doesn’t want to save some coin?😛

One of my absolute favorite things about you and your dupe videos is you don’t present the drugstore dupes like, “I guess you can just buy these if you’re a cheapo.” You still keep the every day consumer in mind. And I especially love it when you are so excited and passionate over the dupe outperforming the high end product.

I have the Flower lipstick in Spiced Petal and the CT in Pillow Talk. They are very similar, but Spiced Petal has more pink/red in it. Many people wanted Pillow Talk to be more pink, and this should make them happy. I find the Flower lipsticks to be more moisturizing...another plus. :)

Wet N Wild has a PhotoFocus Primer Dewy that is also a dupe for the Flawless Filter. It's very shiny and has that beige base tone. 👍👍

I just discovered a dupe for my holy grail lip liner yesterday! Kevyn Aucoin Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in Medium (Neutral Nude) for $25 is EXACTLY the same and Rimmel 1000 Kisses in 50 Tiramisu for $4.49 !! Mind blown!! I can promise I will be saving $20 going forward no matter how special using a Kevyn Aucoin product makes me feel!!

Hi, I wanted to mention that an excellent dupe for the " pillow talk" eyeshadow is.....believe it or not.....Revolution Iconic 3! As far as the lippie is concerned, L'Oréal Colour Riche Matte 633 (Moka Chic) and for the blush? It's the Rimmel Maxi Blush in "Exposed". Gorgeous!!!

The Loreal glowtion isn’t too shiny. Alana Davidson and Jamie Paige love it and actually found the light bronze shade to be a dupe, and those ladies love CT Flawless Filter. Nice to have so many affordable options!

Yes. Love that way of putting it. I'm going through a divorce after 30yrs together and trying to move. Moving has proved so costly that I feel I have neglected myself. Just been very depressed and spend a lot of time crying my eyes out. I need some kind of pick me up soon as I've hit rock bottom it feels. Just a horrible time in my life. Hard to start over at 51 and I've gained 25 pounds in the past 6 months. Nothing fits me and I'm living in sweatpants. I really need to get back to living life at some point. I like the way you said "season" this is hopefully just a season in my life that I hope I never encounter again. Too much pain.

I have a lot of compassion for emotional trauma (yes, I do believe that divorce can be especially traumatic bc it’s the most emotional pain some people have ever felt or will ever feel depending on the circumstances), I understand what hitting an emotional bottom feels like and it sucks, but because you realize it & want to feel differently; or to feel better, the only way is up! Sharalees Box Of Chocolates just know that it’s not going to perform anywhere near the CT. The simple cheek application she shows here, maybe. But they are in no way comparable in how the CT is typically used....which isn’t used like shown.....which was kinda weird 🤔 But maybe there are people out there that use it like that 🤷🏼♀️ Sidenote.....go to sephora and have them give you a sample of the CT!! They’re great about giving samples and when you’re thinking of spending that kind of cabbage on 1 item, pffft, sample-a-sister-up!! 😜

Emily YOU ROCK!!! Although I liked these shades of a few of the CT line the lack of inclusion in the rest of the line for very fair and Deep skin tones left me with a bad taste in my mouth. If I am going to invest in something I want to believe in the brand. (One of the reasons I watch your channel WOC are not treated as an after thought). I have added these items to my shopping list as they would make great everyday looks. As a preschool teacher I like being to put together but my wallet says “let’s use a bit of wisdoms when comes to purchases”. Thank away for smashing alternatives.

I love this type of dupe video would love to see more! Like the hardcore holy grail products like the Marc Jacobs bronzer everyone loves and the famous custom enhancer drops by cover fx ,hula by benefit, ruby woo by mac. This is weird. I was just watching videos and thinking that when I hear someone say I’m not getting that palette or item because I have those colors already in my collection, I would like to see the color in their collection. I was thinking it would be a great video idea...duping high end , or seeing how many similar pinks one has in their stash, similar blush colors, etc. And here comes Emily blowing my mind with the same freaking idea mere minutes later! On another note, this is why I don’t buy high end...we can always find a close enough shade from cheaper brands and most times with higher quality and definitely lower prices. Loved this! Hi! I just bought the Flower Beauty lipstick in Spiced Petal that you recommend-it’s great! Just thought I’d share another lipliner that works very well with it-NYX lipliner in Ever/Toujours. It is just a bit darker but helps outline the lips to give them more definition IMO. Thanks for the great video!

I've never seen the eye shadows in person, but I feel like all of those shades would be in the Tartelette In Bloom palette. I may just try to replicate your look with mine. 😊

I LOVE DUPE VIDEOS! You do them better than anyone. Incredible accuracy and attention to detail. Some of these dupes are better than the Charlotte Tilbury selections, like that eyeshadow palette from Colourpop. One product I do have to give Charlotte Tilbury credit for, though, is that Hollywood Flawless Filter. Her line has 6 or so shades, which is more than the L’Oreal dupe offers. That shade range sets it apart, imo.

Flower Beauty is awesome!! I love their lipsticks, pressed translucent powder, foundation, and lip butters. Ulta runs sales on Flower Beauty every so often, and that's when I stock up . Also, since they are considered to be drugstore at Ulta, you can use the weekly coupons they have on it. I got the foundation for $6 when it was on sale.

Emily, loved this video. I am much older than you so I pick and choose products/ techniques that you feature accordingly but started following you last year prior to you Want/ Needs palette launch once I saw what a warm and ethical person you are. I am an avid CT fan and have lots of her products and ❤️ them. I had been wanting to try her Hollywood Flawless Filter but really did not "need" it so I had not purchased it. I saw this video while in Seattle visiting my son and marched right into a drugstore and picked up the L'oreal Visible Lift Luminous Serum Tint- Rose. I love it! I can't say its a dupe because I never tried the CT product however I love this L'Oreal tint. Thanks!💓
