I appreciate the time it takes for you to research these products, test them out, and of course to film and edit. I also appreciate your style of delivery. I am 33, and it is refreshing to see a peer whom seeks and understands science/chemistry, is not overly dramatic in delivery, and seems to be a genuine, grounded individual.

I absolutely love your channel, Abby! I stumbled upon it a few months ago and have been completely obsessed with all of your videos ever since. Your content is absolutely top notch. You have completely transformed my hair (I now wash my hair once a week and follow your complete routine). I can’t thank you enough for all the wonderful knowledge and advice. As for this video, I was excited to watch it because I did buy the Tan Luxe drops and found myself extremely orange. I’m so glad you agree because I thought it was something I was doing wrong. I’m excited to buy Tanologist and give those a try. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤️

I’m excited to try that coconut oil from OGX. I actually accidentally bought it the other day, meaning to get that other OGX coconut oil you recommended in a previous video. Glad to know this one is good too! Thanks for your hair videos. Been on a journey to heal my hair after general pandemic “not having an mental effort left to focus on it” & neglecting getting regular trims for almost 2 years. Your videos have helped me navigate a product-filled space that can be overwhelming, since I don’t know hair stuff the way I do skincare. After two regular trims, an in-salon Olaplex treatment, getting back to silicones, and testing minis to find a sulfate-free shampoo that works for me, I’m getting there.

Do you know your hair type and porosity? That's where you'll want to start. That will tell you what products you want to use. She can recommend products all she wants, but what works for someone else's hair type probably won't work for your hair type. If have to start with hair type and porosity. For example: my hair is between 1c straight with 2a wavy type hair with low porosity. I have to base that knowledge on what hair products I can choose that will work for my type. I also know that aloe vera is a bad ingredient that doesn't work for me at all. It causes flash drying. So you can try all the products you want, but they may not be right for you and your hair type.

Thank you so much for recommending the OGX coconut oil as a pre-shampoo treatment! I've been having to use Nizoral shampoo for my scalp and being able to protect my hair has kept my hair in much better shape. The Eva NYC leave-in cream has also really helped, that stuff is sooo moisturizing and my thick, coarse hair just loves it. I just wish it had heat protection so I'm moving on to the EVA·NYC Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer (fewer steps). Great if you air dry, I suppose.

You are sooooooooooo pretty and I love your hair! If I could get hair tips from you, I'm definitely listening! And the fact that you include AFFORDABLE products in this video is honestly so amazing because I struggle financially and I'm always looking for products that don't cost an arm and a leg. I'm worried about Silicones and Sulphates though because I live in a household with hard water. I have low porosity hair that is probably 1c-2a type hair so I'm not really sure if using products without silicones and Sulphates is what I'm "supposed to do." Honestly I'm 35 years old and finally just learning about proper hair care, but it's been a confusing journey. Do you use Sulphates and Silicones and do you have hard water? Do you think we shouldn't use them if we do have hard water? I know that Silicones can cause some build up and I know that hard water causes my hair a ton of buildup. And sulfates dry my hair out along with the hard water. I do use a chelating shampoo once a month though. So what are your thoughts on this? Thank you for including affordable products in this video even though I'm still confused on Silicones and Sulphates. I'm sure these products have those...I don't know what to use on my hair lately. It's been a struggle to figure that out. All I know is that you have beautiful hair. Wish I had your length!

Biosilk Cure has been my moms favorite for my entire life and now mine, I am 34. The regular price is $$$ but if you can snag it at Winners etc, it is a deal. It is the clear hourglass bottle NOT the white bottle leave in conditioner. I have fine limp hair and this product doesnt make it look gross, unless I use too much but that's me not the product. I have the the coconut OGX aswell; nice line, can weigh the hair down though.

Hi Abby I think the lee stafford coco loco shine oil should be up here it’s about 12 dollars it has amodimethicone and some other silicones in it but it’s amazing. I have tried Olaplex and all these and I think it hydrates my hair so good! Can you review it please x

Hey, if you live in Europe and can't find the OGX coconut oil, Body shop has a similar one and it has great reviews!

Can I use the ogx coconut oil every time before I wash my hair? I wash my hair every 2 days and was wondering if I should apply the oil on my hair before washing my hair or will it be too much? how long do I leave it on my hair before washing? And can I apply it to my roots as well? 😊

Love this. I want to try the Loreal 21 in 1 when I finish my Pureology. Also want to try the dark dry shampoo maybe it will.help with my grey roots🤷. The leave in coconut oil for overnight. Does the silicones keep.the oil from penetrating? I usually just use straight oils but this would be easier..do t have to mix my coconut with avocado with whatever else I throw in🤣

Neutrogena TSal shampoo is salicylic acid shampoo and does a great job cleansing without being stripping. Derm recommended and supper inexpensive. Good option for anyone looking for a SA option with one less step

Hey! Not drugstore but I’ve been wondering if you’ve ever tried shampoo/conditioner from Kerastase? I know you’ve used their styling products but I haven’t seen anything on your channel about the shampoo/conditioners. Would you consider doing a deep dive into those?!

Hi Abbey, thanks for doing more drugstore haircare videos! I feel like I finally grasp skincare but haircare is still hard for me to wrap my head around with all the marketing and so many products so I appreciate that you share content on haircare as well. I'm wondering if you have tried or have any thoughts on 1) 2-in-1 shampoo conditioners (aside from Hairstory New Wash which is sort of that) are there any that are decent to use, if not, why? 2) if you don't color your hair or use blow dryers or styling tools, are bond repair products still relevant? 3) would caring for short hair be different than long hair? 4) have you tried or do you have thoughts on any Garnier hair products? Thanks!

Do you know your hair type and porosity? That's where you'll want to start. That will tell you what products you want to use. She can recommend products all she wants, but what works for someone else's hair type probably won't work for your hair type. You have to start with hair type and porosity.

I recently found an 1+1 deal for Aveda's smooth infusion naturally straight leave in cream. I tried it, and got so impressed! I immediately ordered two more tubes. I think it is discontinued :( It really straightens the hair without any heat.

People say that you shouldn’t mix vitamin c with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide but those ingredients are in my cleansers 😞 should I still give it a try?
