In this video, I was fortunate enough to be able to play-along to a song written by Drumeo's audio engineer and production coordinator, Victor Guidera. Victor spent some time in the middle east and became a fan of the music and different instrumentation.

The song was originally written to not have a drum track. One of our Drumeo students requested I teach a lesson on how to write drums for a song that doesn't currently have drums. That would be over an hour lesson, so rather than teach that I thought I would demonstrate how easy and fun it can be.
.
Also, another request was to play something using the rims of the drums... So I also included a section on the song using the rims.
.

I'm not sure if you're using them in this video, Can't really tell, but thanks for recommending the Evans Level 360 heads. My god they're perfect. Have them across all my drums. Never going back.
