he actually hits the wing nuts of the cymbals during his solo as an effect. so mindblowing. And Sput (drummer of snarky puppy) playing on the keys orchestrating the whole band. Just amazing, the musical skill in that room. sput plays ridiculously good on the drums, but he‘s playing the keys in every zildjian video!

I mean, he doesn't just play keys on the songs, he has either written or arranged every song they played on Zildjian live, most of the songs played he wrote himself. Sput is a amazing musician and a legend in the music scene.

As previously mentioned, the percussionist in this video is the GREAT Nate Werth. He and fellow founding Snarky Puppy member drummer Sput Searight (here playing keyboards with the brown sweater, shades, and long braids) created the Ghost Note Band (Zildjian's house band) with bassist Mono Neon as a side project. If you pay close attention, you'll see that everything he does compliments Larnells playing. Nate is a BEAST... and one of my favorite percussionists. Thanks for the reaction video. It's really cool to see someone who KNOWS what he is talking about and appreciate what he sees critique one of the best drummers in the business!

Larnell Lewis is one of my favorite drummers. He's right where he belongs. Right up there with all of the greats these days. He can play anything fantastically. One of the things that I love most about him is that he seems to be as great of a human being as he is a world class musician. Congratulations Larnell!!!

If i were to try and sum up Larnells greatness it is because he has done his homework as a musician, he has learned what works and what doesnt in any given situation and how to reference other great drummers when needed. And he has learned how to convey all kinds of emotion from behind the drums, he can add humor, suspense, humility, etc all while being able to keep musicians and non musicians intrigued simultaneously. Simply, he knows how to tell a story on the drums.

I am so happy....all of you musicians were BORN, I really do. I love you guy's parents, for birthing such amazing musician specialists into this mundane world of hell. Life became tolerable from just experiencing this intricate musicianship and master class contribution. I don't understand why music does to the brain and spirit as it does. But I NEED it and can't balance out my life without it. It's another language another form of LOVING someone if thee creators want it to be. For my mental health.....please stay safe and healthy.

Some of these Zildjian lives are just ridiculous!!! Larnell, Pridgen, Gergo, Aaron, etc are all so inspiring to watch. Have you watched the Snarky Puppy video for “Binky”, its a slightly older song with Sput on drums and the last groove they play on that tune is, in my opinion, one of the most important grooves to be created in the last 10-20ish years A must watch!!!

Great video, as always. As a side note, I had two cats (calico and muted calico) and temptations were pure cocaine to them. Not the yellow bag as much as the blue though. Don't ask me what flavor they were. Friskies did nothin' for 'em. Temptations or bust.

People leave dislikes for a number of reasons (maybe getting too much jazz fusion in their feed, so they're tuning their recommendations, etc.) The good news for KZfaqrs is, it has zero bearing on your recommendation ranking. It counts as an engagement whether liked or disliked.

The cat I have now does not like Tentation Treats. My cat will only eat crunchy treats without the soft middle. The bass player used to be Prince's bass player. The band is Ghost Note. It is Pridgon's band. He left Snarky Puppy to Larnell Luis. Too bad more people did not like the video. Jazz is very controversial and not main stream.

Nicko mcbrain has his bass batter head just past finger tight,the drummer in this isn't bad bit more practice and I can see doing well for himself lol
