I'm just a local LA drummer, so this was a blast to watch. So much muscle memory on setup and tear down, I could actually feel the hi-hat clutch in my fingers as the cymbals went on. Dropping that bottom hi-hat like it's an old vinyl, love it.

By the way I worked for Entertainment Workforce and was a stagehand and a drummer too, and always got on with the drum tech to help! Loved helping Kat from Pantera played at the Austin Music Hall 3 different times. Busted my ass working that show and tearing Vinnie Paul’s kit down every time and got to play his kit at the Austin Music Hall during backline warm up, dream come true…

I don't remember the last time the drums were broken. If they ever gotten broken? Thanks for the phoenix one. I saw Disturbed there in the 2000's. I think slip knot was there. I got to the front stage wearing my 98 KUPD shirt.🤣🤣🤣 Have a good trip. I'm near 19th Bell. I was on the last berm in front in front of the wall where they found me. I took a chance and walked around to see if it would work. It did.

Every time I come across these POV drum tech videos, I am amazed by the amount of people involved in the preparation of a show of this type and how they are managed (you have hotel rooms and tour buses just for you, private rooms in the venues etc .). I am an amateur drummer like many around the world and I play in small venues, simultaneously covering the role of drummer, drum tech, sound engineer, roadie etc etc. Obviously the size of the shows is insignificant compared to what is seen in this video. But I have some questions I hope you can answer: 1) do you work as a freelancer or are you employed by an agency? 2) what is, in broad terms, the cost of this organizational machine? I live in Italy and, apart from rare cases, there is nothing similar, both in terms of the number of people involved in the backstage and the size of the places where the concerts take place (arenas and stadiums aside, but we are a small country, there are no there are as many as in the USA). Thanks and congratulations for your content!
