Is there anything more primal than drums? This song makes my feet want to move every time!

I love these guys'. Listened to them years back -- and saw them in concert a few months ago -- and they've still go it. Great to see in person!

Awesome. Man Made Souls does a lot of this in the live shows, too. Bring on the percussion!

Rusted Root is considered to be a alternative rock/jam band. Although for me this track would fall under the psychedelic genre.

@InHearse13 LOL...NOT How old is Beiber...22...maybe. This type of music and these types of drums, as well as, this beat itself has been around much much longer than he has been alive...

@9M19 Even though your comment is two years old, I feel a need to respond...Yes the Caribbean was populated by slaves in the late 17th and 18th centuries, but there is still a rich influence from the native Taino indian tribes indigenous to those islands. So really today's Caribbean culture is a fusion of African and Taino, and even Spanish (in some areas like Cuba, of course). It just depends on where you're at, I guess. But to say that the entire Caribbean is all Africanzed, is just wrong

@thisischavez Hey man, what can I say? I am a font of knowledge indeed. Does your screenname have anything to do with Cesar Chavez? Probably not, I was just curious. However, if it does have to do with Cesar Chavez...then much respect to you, he's among the top ten men in history I have respect for.

It's a transplanted people. The original folks to inhabit the island before dear forefather Christopher Columbus found, enslaved, and subsequentley commited genocide against had been there quite a long time. Look up the Arawak in Wikipedia.
