Every few months I type "Arcturus reaction" into the search bar and am disappointed. Thank you for posting this, Hellhammer is a god tier drummer and it's great to see someone else hear him for the first time.

This being a 'supergroup', the drummer is a total legend. 'Hellhammer' from the band Mathem. He's all over the cymbals which i love, sort of like a metal Barrie Barlow or Steve Gadd or something. And everyone else is a total stud, particularly the vocalist, Kristoffer Rygg. It is pretty experimental, they all were in bands doing their normal thing, so this was more stuff they did involving a bit more non-metal stuff, so yeah the production is a little non-traditionalist. It feels sort of cold, it is a space opera prog experimental band thing. Kind of Pink Floyd meets Metallica, if you will. Maybe even a little Flamming Lips or such. But, some odd, non-metal vibes for sure. More 'heavy music' than 'heavy metal'. And they are best listened to as a full album, as a lot of the best stuff is, so they didn't try to capture their full sound in one song, you sort of needed to hear a whole album. Hopefully you can hear more of their stuff down the line. Thanks for the listen!
