Since leaving her previous band, She's released two singles, One of which is a sentimental marching piece and the other is called demon. She tours doing a performance about every two weeks or so and Yes she does all the covers that you find on her KZfaq page at those performances. She's also a working musician, for instance she recently played with Marty Friedman, formerly of Megadeath, at a big festival in Japan.

See the video clip with her on the band called Trident, playing the song "Voltage". Junna take off, when the band is riding on, she is in another rotation but its fun to watch, try it.

She does a lot of one person drum performances in around the Osaka area, where she's from. She was in Girl's Rock Band Kakumei or GRBK until 2020 when she left stating she wanted to have an opportunity to play with a lot of different musicians. GRBK was my 2nd favorite rock band behind Band-Maid, but to be honest even though the band added a new drummer Nagisa and changed their name to Trident, they are still may 2nd favorite.

It is very rare for the Lovebites to do a cover and they have never done it live!　 The Lovebites respect JP's influence on them, so they have reduced the arrangement to a cover that is close to the original. Will be filling in for Marty's Friedman's band in Japan for a short time. Marty already has a Kami Band member playing In his band with Takayoshi Ohmura. So it isn't out of the question seeing a Babymetal appearance someday perhaps. Even if it was just for a show or two would be epic!! She did play for Trident's Advance for a time but has since left. JUNNA also did a cover of DragonForce's Through The Fire & Flames as well!! 🙀💕

I think she does some shows, but mostly she's a studio drummer. I think she's on a LOT of albums for other bands (kind of like the wrecking crew on old country/rock albums).

JUNNA RUMA RIINU KUN is fun. Its a kind of poppy song, not so much metal. But, she is a chaos generator, hitting seemingly at random at high speed. I think it is worth looking at. There are also four more drummer girls from Japan I like * Yoyoka (this is a must) * Tamu (you have seen here in Nemophila, but she do lots of stuff) * Senri (if you love jazz, this is a must) * Kanade (She is simply good, nearly as good as Senri)

Hi Tony, Trident was the name of JUNNA'S old band. Voltage is the name of the track. When Junna was in the band, they were called another name Kakumei. When you watch the Voltage video. You should notice her drum kit. It's the kit, with her name on the front. That she uses in her cover videos.

Nice video.!! Always learning something watching this channel. As others will comment, Junna's old band, Trident showcases her ability well. (The song "Voltage"). Junna's replacement, Nagisa, is really great drummer as well. Their new single 'Spoopy' is great song showing the trio's ability. I really enjoy "the feel" of the drumming in that song (forgive my over-simplified characterization). As long as you are exploring Japanese drummers. My favorite is Senri Kawaguchi. She does more jazz, fusion and prog. There is KZfaq video of her performing live the song "Onyx" from her second CD release tour. She was age 17 then. That song is permenently in "My Happy Cruising Tunes" playlist. A more impressive video of her abilities may be from the 2022 Yamaha Drum Show Paris. Or one of the Drumeo videos or the Zildjian Featured artist factory solo. Another young Japanese drummer I like is Kanako Takahashi, the drummer for the group Hagane. Their song "Supervillain", also one of my favorites. The list of what to check out should also include a very young trio called Asterism. The drummer, MiO is quite interesting (his brother is the awesome bassist, Miyu)... And also the band Sokoninaru. Sort of a Polyphia on speed. They have had several drummers. The latest, Shinya is great (to my untrained ears).

She is currently in the team of Marty Friedman (of Megadeath) for his Japan Tour 2022.

I like the fact you didn't say the obvious, which so many other Reaction Vids of her do - which I would like to say the following in a respectful and sincere tone as a metalhead \m/ Junna is a Master Drummer who is just as good as a man. In my opinion her timing is flawless.

Tony, I'm not a musician, but I thoroughly enjoy watching Junna's videos and your reaction them. No one ever seems to comment on the fact she keeps her eyes closed or looks away (up) the majority of the time... and continues to flawlessly play. I hear other musicians talk about her mouthing the lyrics... implying other drummers don't do that because of the concentration level needed to play a kit. Is closing your eyes a common practice, or is that just another talent Junna has mastered???

It would be nice if you checked out band called Maximum the Hormone as their drummer Nao is an inspiration for a lot of female drummers in Japan.

You want to know why junna isn't in a band? Because she steals the fucking show. A band would literally hold her back. On her cover, through the fire and flames, I think she out played gee anzalone. He did a cover to his own song, and although his drums are far superior to junnas and sound better, I think junna added filler on top of his and just out played him. His cover was amazing, but hers just makes me emotional every time I watch it.

If this is 2 year old, she is 24/25 years old. Started at 15 year in 2011
