Shrimp / Prawn and drumstick curry is a simple and comforting seafood curry that is made using authentic ground spices. It is a pretty traditional dish, prepared in most Goan households. This is the base for a basic fish/prawn curry. Then the addition of okra, drumsticks, raw mango etc simply adds a little extra flavor. The very aroma of this curry, bubbling away on the stovetop makes anyone want to dive into it as soon as it’s done, so delicious!
You can serve this delicious curry along with steamed rice and a fish fry by the side.
Ingredients:
Shrimps(1/2 kg)
Drumsticks( 8-10 pc)
For masala:
Coconut (5 Tbsp)
Onion (1 small)
Red whole chilli (5-8) as per taste
Coriander seeds (1.5 Tbsp)
Raw mango/ tamarind ( as per taste)
Haldi(1 tsp)
Water( to grind into smooth paste)
Preparation:
Oil (1 Tbsp)
Onion (1 small) fine chopped
Salt (to taste)
Water ( as per gravy )
Green chilli (3-4) for garnish
Coriander leaves (handful) for garnish
