I spent 14 days in our local County Jail. I had a Nebulizer, which I was required to use every day because of my asthma, so I wasn't able to go to General Population, consequently; I spent those days up in an intake cell. With one exception, ALL the Corrections Officers were polite, respectful, and kind. They provided me as much reading material as they possibly could considering how limited their supply was. I was taken down to a small pod where there were 4 Girls, 2 per room, so that I might shower. They had a TV and two I had NOT YET read, so we traded. I found out from them that the Library Cart came by 1 day a week and you were limited to something akin to 2 books. I was fortunate that up in intake, they would bring me the book box they had there to keep me occupied.

I was just thinking what is up with me watching this show. At 72 I rationalize that it reminds of my days working in the ER. I put a drunk Indian in a corner bed and when I checked on him in 5 min he was gone. He was too drunk to get far. I hollered at another nurse n him n I started looking for him. The first door went down to pharmacy n morgue I opted for door number 2 which took me outside. That’s when I saw him lying in the driveway to the ER. I got to him n told him he is three feet from the lawn. I called him a stupid drunken Indian and got him onto the lawn. He was my most memorable drunk. It really gets the adrenaline flowing.

He'd kill them and anyone else if he had a chance. His eyes were pure hatred.

I worked at a funeral home where the largest portion of my family have been served. I remember they brought in my great aunt and they knew she was my aunt. I was called to come to the dressing room and the mortician ask "Is there at least one of your kin that don't have tattoos". I laughed and said yes my mother but she ain't ready to come thru here right now!

When I was in a sociology class, our teacher called it "decorative mutilation". Never been tempted into a tattoo since.

I guess it would be expensive to have them removed. I've never been tempted to have a tattoo. When I was growing up the only people who had tattoos were sailors, bikers and their women and criminals.

Yep, you have to truly fight like your life depends on it. I am 1.5 years clean from opiates & it is the hardest thing I have ever done. No comparison. I have a university education & live in one of the most expensive cities on the planet for my entire adult life so trust me when I say i know the struggle.

Agreed. When I worked in SRT each person on the team was responsible for one limb. Number one, shield, number 2 left arm, number 3 right arm , number 4 left leg, number 5 right leg. Not a pig pile and hope for the best.

I started using meth and cocaine at 12 ,spent 28 years on drugs I was busted for counterfeiting and spent sometime in the feds best time of my life I had huge remorse and guilt . First time I felt that much pain because the drugs were gone and I began to feel again . Prison saved me ! Now I have my family back ! Google it
