Can we talk about how Donna always picks these fabrics that you don't think will go together, but when the quilt is all finished, it just looks amazing? I always love the color choices. It is definitely a skill I'm still learning. ❤

My most treasured quilt was made by my grandmother almost 100 years ago. It's not perfect, but is more valuable to me than any museum quality quilt. So be kind to yourself about your quilts: they wrap up the recipients in the warmth and love you put into them 💞

I’ve always stayed away from sewing curves because I thought they would be too hard to do, but you make it look so easy and effortless. You make every pattern that way. Thank you so much, Donna! Your quilting channel is my favorite out of all of them and I appreciate all of the work you do so much.

This is *such* a darling little quilt, I adore 🥰 this layout. This size would make a perfect wheelchair quilt (as I know that it can get chilly on one’s lap when you’re not able to move your legs around!). I don’t know what I’ve been waiting for in not tackling this curved block sewing skill. I can always practice with my least favourite fabrics until I get my technique down pat, before I cut into my expensive “good stuff”. Thanks Donna for the reminder - those batiks you used are fabulous!!

Your quilt turned out so beautiful (so did the little pillow). When I was a child, I heard someone say, "Don't let a man or a boy sleep under a Drunkard's Path." It is supposed to bring bad luck to men and boys. Which is silly. I have seen plenty of Drunkard's Path quilts pictured in books and magazines (but not in any quilt shows here. It always looked too hard to make (and wasteful of fabric); so, I have never tried to make any blocks. I can ease sleeves into blouses, jackets, and dresses. I should be able to do this. Thank you for this lesson and video.
