just a clarification on where their lyrics came from. she had a long time obsession of writing down quotes of random people around her. and now as she joined the band and didnt know how to write a song, she grabbed that notebook and formed songs out of it. its a quite unique and genius way to do it.

This performance is incredible. I love this band! Defiantly detached and somehow deeply personal Dry Cleaning is a triumph. Haunting and sexy this band lets its excellent musicianship show with burning guitar solos and bass lines that empty your mind of all thought. For one I absolutely love the lyrical style, I cant get around how catchy her phrasing is. Pair weird interesting lyrics with interesting structure, all while being so fucking cool how does she do it. Front to back super nice! The guitar in Her Hippo keeps me coming back. Thanks guys

This band is reminiscent of the beatnik era meets psychedelic coffee houses of the mid-to-late '60s. Post modern shoe gaze, perhaps? Florence reminds me of the female version of the character Neil from the 1980s comedy The Young Ones. I dig the whole enchilada.✌
