I live in the U.K. and was so pleased to hear you mention the amount of salt some channels are using. I never add salt to my cooking, I leave it to others to add at the table if they wish to. Mum never added it, so it’s not something I miss. In fact, restaurant food always tastes too salty to me! I love having dry mixes ready. I have an allbran cake mix bottled so hubby can set one off if he needs one, and he just adds milk. I use a mug, to get a 2lb loaf tin sized cake. 1mug of self raising flour, 1mug dried fruit, 1 mug all bran (or weetabix if preferred) half mug sugar (I don’t like mine too sweet, enough sugar with the dried fruit), all into a jar. When yo7 wan5 to use it, add 1 mug milk of your choice, leave it to soak up the flour for 20mins, and bake for 40mins approx on 170/ gas 4 until skewer comes out clear. It’s a cross between a barbarity and a malt loaf in texture. Nice with butter on, or as it comes.

I agree on the salt Debra! I’m not salt sensitive but too much salt is unhealthy for sure. Your mix sounds amazing too-thank you for sharing!

This was a masterful way to manage food preparation. I live in NYC and, unfortunately, are not able to grow herbs but buy in bulk instead. These seasoning blends are sold here for $8 to $12 dollars each. Prepping the bulk seasoning jars for this part of the country is a bonanza of savings. Thank you for this.

I am a bit late on watching this video. I worked three 12 hour shifts over the weekend and life has been busy so I am playing catch up on some videos. Did you make those cute mason jar tags on your Cricut? I made mason jar tags for the favors for my son’s wedding. I love mason jar decor. Also, I have to go back and check the brownie recipe against a few other recipes I have used. It seems very similar, which means it is delicious. I was going to put together a few brownie mixes to have on hand, but I was going to use plastic containers. Why didn’t I think of mason jars? I have plenty! Loves the video. So many great ideas.

Good to know I love them chewy and moist I add 1/4 cup of espresso in place of water the coffee flavor makes the chocolate taste so much better. I did notice you didn’t add any water to this recipe so not sure if I can add it to this mix , I’ll do some research and see if I can add it. 🥰
