DRZ400 Starter Repair

Жыл бұрынMy DRZ400 was clicking instead of starting. I charged up the battery, but it still would not start. I took apart the starter and found some corrosion on the brush spring. After cleaning off the corrosion the starter worked like new.

Thank you. I am looking forward to hearing of your success. If you can, take a picture of the inside of yours, I am curious it yours has as much or more rust as mine.

Can starters blow up?

Yes. They are strong so they will usually just crack, but they could "blow up" violently enough to send pieces flying. Be careful.

Could be the same thing, or your battery might be getting old.
