Some of you may remember that I had to chance to drive the new DS 3 Crossback earlier this year, and my first impressions were positive. Those were the petrol versions, though - what is this boutique-inspired small SUV like when you drop in a 1.5 litre diesel?
DS predicts that just 5% of buyers will opt for this engine, so what's the point? Well, for starters, it's the most frugal engine of the bunch, offering up to 62.7mpg on a combined run, with emissions as low as 97g/km of CO2.
This engine offers 102hp along with 250Nm of torque, and this power is mated to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. 62mph is dealt with in 11.4 seconds, and the top speed is 12mph.
