Remember the old Citroen DS3 Racing? Well, half a decade later DS has dusted off the hot hatch blueprints and released the DS3 Performance, a full-fat hot hatch version of its stylish and popular hatchback.
With 205bhp courtesy of a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine, a beefed-up stance and huge alloy wheels, it certainly has all the right ingredients.
It looks the part too, but can DS’ more fashionable approach to B-road blitzkrieg hold a candle to class leaders like the Peugeot 208 GTi, the MINI Cooper S or the Fiesta ST?

guys, your reviews are spot on. however it can be even better if you allow us to hear the exhaust noises ir engine noises of any car. I noticed that it is a bit missing in your videos

I got one of these and i duno why people say its not fun to drive cause it defo is. You can throw it into corners and it grips very well. Its actually 208bhp and the 143mph top speed is not exactly true. Gave mine a decent stretch of road and it got to 151mph so a little more than the top speed DS claim. I can also get very close to 60mpg on long runs with this little thing too. Its just a great car all round.

I got one , they are nice and I agree with the part about it's not quite as fun as some cars to drive but other than that it's a beautiful car that has some decent power . 7/10

Ugh! I really wished many of these "Euro" hatch back cars made it's way to Canada. I'm so tired of the generic look on all vehicles in North America. The closest thing to these kinds of cars are the Fiat 500 which I do have currently and really happy with. I need to move to the UK.

Its beautiful. The only competition would be MiTo Cloverleaf but its a pity that Alfa doesn't make it.. Fiesta and Polo are rubbish cars comparing to DS3

I am/was looking for a 208 BPS or 30th but since they are so hard to find here in NL I was looking a bit further. Found out that this DS3 Performance exists. Didn't even knew about it! Definitely adding it to my watch list as a potential new car.

I’ve got one, the suspension is hard, like rock solid, you’ll be buying wishbone bushes every week with the state the roads are in, apart from that, it’s a great little car, I love mine

I might be a bit late to the party with this reply sorry man but just get a Dsport THP instead. With a remap and a decat you’ll have the same power as the Performance but with much cheaper insurance 👍🏻

I have 1 of these and also have it remapped and it is rapid very fast and shows a lot of cars up. Especially funny when people compare it to a normal ds3 or a family car

I have the 1.2 thp and the interior is one of the most beautiful out there. The French do know a thing or two about style. Pity that Britain doesn't make cars anymore.

Innit. This is a compact hot hatch. A45 and Focus RS are super hot hatches. Completely different. Even putting class aside, the A$% has 381 bhp. ow is a DS 3 comparable lol

I don't realise this car existed until I saw one in a Citroen dealership today. I now know why I haven't seen one since they came out - the price/ LaCostè

Saw one as new/old stock at a price that's very tempting.Haha,guess all those minis,vw golf gtis and such meant its been overlooked.I'd be sorely tempted to get it if I somehow had the money! :-)

Far too expensive for what it is. At least the DS3 Racing stood out with its orange trim and real carbon fibre.

That's what money hot hatches are going for these days. This is just £500 more than the Fiesta ST200, has more power, torque, and a much classier package over all, especially if you compare both interiors. The best in it's class.

maybe this car doesnt feel as fun as the other you tested because of the engine being pretty small compared to other 4 cylindersto which are still small, the stock sound from the exhaust line is pretty sad, maybe slap an aftermarket line on it it will solve the issue

It's such a girly carl! - said by Polo drivers, mini drivers, and so on ... Guys. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GIRL CAR, ONLY YOUR HURT EGO THAT TELLS YOU "OMG I DEFINITELY NEED A V8 SO I FEEL LIKE A MAN"... No hate, I love fast and loud cars, muscles are my favorites, but you cannot buy one as your first car, unless you win the lottery or your Patents are rich..

Test drove one, i think the previous version, it literally had no suspension. Had to stop to avoid sickness. It is the absolute worst car i ve driven in 25 years

Ds3 build quality is sh*t! I've got the 1.6 dsport 150 petrol in black and I love the car but forever getting faults! Now needs a turbo as the waste gate is fooked 😢 I've had the water pump and tensioner done as it was rattling! New coil packs, suspension spring, rear engine mount all done already!! Lol oh and the keys flip has broke! I fixed it once myself, now it needs a new casing. It's been looked after and serviced every year! And my Mrs drives it the most and she's a normal driver.

I would love to know what you think about the car, but, what does 'far from terrible' and 'awkward' mean? Were you just interested in spouting cliches rather than speaking grammatically so that you could be understood, or is it just snowflake speak?
