The reason Arcade 1up was able to get the rights to MVC is because they are classified as toys. So everything he is saying about the quality of the item being poor. According to Phil’s new best friend, Max, the only reason the 1-up arcade cabinet of MvC could be made was because it was considered to be a toy rather than a electronic video game (It’s very weird logic to me). At that time there’s was no other way to sell the vs series and a lot of work was done to just get even that. Yeah, it wasn’t what people clearly wanted, but it the best fans could do at the time.
