About Jin saying Jungkook shut himself down during their hard time was around the time bts considered thinking of disbanding. They were all having a hard time but from what I saw from interview answers. Jungkook and Taehyung had the hardest time during that time. Taehyung because he lost a lot of people and that’s difficult to get over with. It takes time. Further on even during January and February 2018 you could tell something was off but you couldn’t exactly point out what it was. I also remember jungkook in one Japanese magazine telling how he was going through such a hard time that he felt like he was spreading the bad atmosphere around and cried and drank alone, when the other boys came to him and cried with him. That is what I know from Jungkook’s part. But since this matter is quite serious, private and personal. Bts members haven’t gone indepth in it. And that’s completely understandable cause around that time it was too hard for them. To the point they wanted to disband.

When BTS debuted they got a lot of attention because of their perfectly synchronized choreography. They were compared to another group called Infinite (those guys synchronisation was out of this world) and considered one of the only groups at their level even if they were rookies. They also got a lot of attention for their hip hop roots. At the time i was listening to a group called Block B who had really good rappers, they reminded me of them and I instantly got hooked. Good old times

My first impression started with Tae, "Ah, this person is heartwarming" at the time around Hwarang. I kept searching about him till I got to BTS I listened few of their title tracks and thought "oh this sounds so good" but just casually and didn't bother much to understand the lyrics, it goes on for 2 years. I was busy with college, and this is normal for me coz I hardly get attached to anything. I was never a kpop fan, tho I'm surrounded with Kpoper friends. I listen to songs but just that. 2019, when I got a lot of time in my hands, I got a lot deeper through their songs, their personalities, I got struck with their messages and fell in love with BTS deeply. I was never wrong, Tae being heartwarming and all the members too. I am an OT7 and forever Tae biased now. All I can say is that, I was never into just looks, just talents, just personalities, just popularity...but these guys are whole literally and figuratively wholesome they got everything not just within a person but them together, creating such amazing magic that you can't help but look at them closely. 💜 Now, I'm still a baby but I am an ARMY.

I remember first time watching BTS in Jimmy Fallon Show, and JIMIN caught my attention when he introduce himself "Hey Jimmy, I'm Jimin!!" 😁, and i started watching all of their videos, i even didn't sleep well for couple weeks to catch up their content.. So much content.. Even now there are a lot of their content or videos which i have to watch..

The precision of the choreography is the first eye catcher. Then JK's energetic singular dance. Noticed him first. Just started watching and saw they were all as unusual as JK but without that eye catching smile. Yeah JK is my favorite.

It’s a Korean culture when at the end of the meal if there’s leftovers of ingredients, they will mix all together with additional bowl of rice to stir fry and make it into fried rice to end off the meal. 2015 when I first heard about BTS because of my bestfriend(ARMY). She told me things about them so I got curious why she love them. I search for them not knowing that I was going to love them so much. I first got impressed because of their hard choreos and dance skills. I'm a dancer that's why their dance got my attention and I didn't know that they can also rap and sing. I Need U dance practice was the first video that I watch and Taehyung is my bias. Honestly, I didn't know that they will get this big and I'm so proud for what they are now. I'm glad that I got to know them because they make me happy even in a worse time.

I remember when they debuted I had just got into kpop. Their music had a much more true hip hop feel to it than anyone else at the time, but mostly I just really fell in love with their personalities. The music was great, but they always felt authentic when they were speaking and around e/o. In Kpop, it used to be a must for you to be on variety shows and stuff. Some of the other groups I liked, it became obvious through those shows (sometimes the members would blatantly point it out) that despite living, practicing, and working together some members were either painfully awkward with one another or didnt get along behind the camera (even after knowing e/o for years). BTS was, and continues to be one of the only groups that I think all around never shys aways from being genuine. Not that they dont have arguments and bad moments, but they are honest about it and continue to be actual friends on more than just a coworker level. Then and now you can feel the difference that makes in their musics and lyricism. Also they're really frickin funny without forcing it. They dont need a script to be funny, it really feels like the kind of vibe you get when youre hanging out with your own friends and that has always been weirdly comforting to me, especially during times when all my friends and I are far apart.

What got me into them was their love for music and each other. Then I felt the love they had for army and I was gone, I don't regret anything, they are unique in so many ways, their art is so beautiful and holds so much meaning... I've never felt this way for any artist in my 21 years of life. I'm so so proud of them and so thankful, they really make life a little bit better with their presence.

I didn’t know them until they appeared at AMA 2017 performing DNA. They were already big and obviously amazing performers. So it was pretty quick for me to fall for these boys 😂 JK caught my attention first and I only had my eyes on him during performances. I was impressed by their creative and synchronized choreography although I have known kpop for a long time. Plus their rapping was hella impressive and something very different from kpop i know, that’s what I thought. At first, Jhope, Jin, and RM didn’t stand out for me so much. However, after I got to know them more, I just can’t help but love all 7 of them and realized each member is just so great in their own way. I knew BTS since 2014 since I worked at an English tutor for Koreans online. I would hear my some of ny students talk about them when we had topic about pop culture. Then they were gaining popularity here in the Philippines, I still did not give them a chance. Fast forward, this pandemic came, and we were forced to stay inside. Open youtube and yt decided to recommend me taehyung's fancam, and BTS carpool karaoke. Watched all yt bts related vids, discovered vlive, run and bon viyage episodes, ran through their discography. Now, I cannot imagine my life without BTS. I regret not giving them a chance many many years ago. Knowing, discovering, and loving bts is really life changing. 😭 To make the long story short

when i first got into bts they were really small and skinny I even thought they were a lot younger than me but when I figured out they were around my age it shocked me. I liked their hip hop sound I always enjoyed all types of music so that wasn't a problem at all. as for what I saw, I have to be honest in 2013 and beginning of 2014 I had some worries they were going to be like most groups were lasted only acouple of years in the industry, that was the norm small company groups had little chance to survive in a big 3 monopolized system. there was a rookie group that debuted a bit after bts and i liked both of them.... that other group went nowhere it's insane to see old videos of bts and them together at the same level and now. i think around the end of 2014 and all 2015 I had a feeling things were changing for bts, the international fan community was growing in a very healthy pace and their music only got better also they started getting attacked for basically breathing some people were getting threatened. that's when I started to think they were going at at least be the number one group in kpop someday....... nothing prepared me for so much worldwide success, i'm till trying to process things from 2019. I get whiplash when i really start to think how huge they are now. OMG EDIT: there was a discussion I saw in a translation kpop website back in 2015 and some people were commenting on a big 3 company basically saying their newer group was going to be the next big thing like their senior group and all hell broke lose in the comment section and I had an epiphany moment I guess, everyone was mentioning groups left and right and no one said bts which was so weird they were doing so well. I only wrote "xx company lost their opportunity to have the next big thing, that's already in the making and no one is aware of them seriously enough, they're right there catching up pretty quickly now" nobody understood what I was saying. too bad I was banned from that place for being an army lmao 😭 I wanted to screenshot that specific thinkpiece I did. it was a lot longer.

I feel like the reason bts has so much chemistry and synergy is the fact that they don't force things. Idols usually get thrown together and they have to "sell" a certain type of image to the public that seems forced, and although bts still have things they need to "sell" too because they are still an idol group, I feel they got to a point where their relationship as individuals and group is separate from this, they learned to accept each other, with all the flaws and obstacles, they learned how to talk through it and they learn every day to just be themselves. They may have started being "thrown" as a group too, but they learned how to be a family, that just fits together, it's beautiful to see really.

I felt that they (BTS and Bighit) invested so much of their time,energy and resources for this year for a reason. I remember them saying the next album was supposed to be ‘Shadow’ then ‘Ego’ but last year plans have changed and they’re making this year like a big celebration in honor of their 7 years as a group. Also, big tour productions/stadium tours and their early promotions in the US on January and February. They planned to give it their all this year or give ARMY the best experience and then MAYBE culminate it with Jin going to ‘you-know-where’. I felt that one of the reasons they had all this big plans for this year and the latest album like an ode to their 7 years together is because this will be the last year they’re gonna be complete - for now until everybody finishes their ‘you-know-what’. I hope I’m wrong. Just typing this makes me so emotional. Then the pandemic happened in which Jin said the dates/plans are all over the place now. If only we could reset the time. Anyways BTS and ARMY hwaiting!

it was in spring day era when I discovered them and it was love at first sight for me they were like angels and I lost interest in other boys and i know they are the one the moment I see/discovered BTS and up untill now...stanning bts was the best decision that i have ever made and BTS debut was the best thing that ever happened in this whole universe and one of my biggest regrets would be that i was not with them from the beginning😭😭 now that their popularity went up hill they can do whatever they want and shit but they didn't and stay humble like they were always EVERYONE ones to be like them but they are not ready to go through the things that BTS went through and is still going through..no one but BTS could have come out of everything they faced the way they did it would have destroyed anyone else and I stand by that. they were meant to be exactly where they are at.

I became came to know about BTS during "Blood Sweat & Tears" MV came out and Jimin was the first that i noticed coz of his charismatic performance. But I literally became an ARMY when "Spring Day" came out i fell in love with this song right away and it has been my forever Queen Song. Tbh yesterday, I listened to their Dark and Wild album again and it's crazy because that album is just a gold mine. Every track is just so good I really do believe that even if their style of music changed, the base is still present. The hip hop base that they had in their earlier days is still present in their present work here and there and the best part is how they manage to make it work. No matter what style they do, their music is just really good it really is hard to understand for me because I enjoy their old stuff just as much as their new stuff even though it is a bit different.

I love all of BTS's discography, I don't care about the music genre, because messages, sincerity, dedication and love for art have always been present. I met bangtan in 2017, but I'm sure that if I met them in 2013, I would still love them in the same way, because their music since "No more dream" gives me strength, inspires and makes me happy. But then these boys came and changed me wholly. I knew they're gonna rule the music world because they touched my heart with their music. To fight up for myself and they are always here to save me. My 7 anpanman(men). My 7 boys with love who filled my life with happiness and joy. They don't let me cry. They understand what I feel. Been an ARMY since '15 and I honestly thought they were amazing the first time I saw them. Heard different kpop songs/music, but had never been really invested on it 'til I ran into one of BTS video. A lot of older pre'debut ARMYs actually said that BTS were gonna make it big in the future even before they debuted, hence "pre'debut ARMYs". And a lot of them are still in the fandom. They just have something special in them💜

I've been an Army since their debut and what really attracted me was their music even if they do multiple styles of sound now, the essence of it is the same: the beats are crazy, there is always an inspiring, powerful and hopefull message , the side tracks of their album had strong vocals & rap, very unic melodies, they were so different by how they expose their feelings as it is (as artists and persons) and question the system/society they live in, and that's something i rotated toward from the begginning... There first tour The red Bullet was out of this world!!.... I could talk for days about it but i was 15 back then and i already knew they would make a difference cause everything about them was unic from everykind of music They have always been this humble and thankful for our support and love since day1, they never took it for granted

Because of my age my first thought was "jailbait". My daughter introduced me to BTS just after their debut, so I may not have been day one but I was before day 10. I loved BTS from the beginning because of their message.

Ive been a fan of theirs since they debuted. The reason I became a fan was because I thought they had a lot of potential and passion, and I thought they were very talented and I liked their hip hop influenced music (I was always biased towards hip hop focused kpop groups because they would often write their own lyrics). It was a huge hurdle for them to even top the charts in Korea let alone the World so hell no I did not expect this success, absolutely no-one did, I still can't believe it. But I did expect them to get better and make great music because I knew they were passionate about what they were doing, so I was able to tell their future in that sense. I kind of miss those days when they were more unknown in some ways back then they were 'just our Bangtan Boys' now they're 'worldwide sensation BTS' I feel more distant from them but I still love them and their songs and still a loyal Army.

i became an army in 2018, i always regretted not finding out about k-pop sooner but then again i found out about k-pop and specifically BTS when i needed something good in my life because my parents got divorced and some stuff happened with my friends in 2018 so i think i found BTS in the right moment even if its years after their debut.

I knew BTS since 2012, because they were posting pre debut logs 😌 I was a fan of another group back then and I wanted to stan only 1 group. When No More Dream dropped, I thought, wow they're really different (concept and talent, you can tell). I supported them since then like an Army, but silently. I denied that I'm an Army myself, since it goes against what I wanted then, I only want to stan 1 group(2nd gen group). WELL, BTS still made me love them and I became very vocal about being an Army in 2014. 😊

I found them in 2014, shortly after they released Skool Luv Affair. To me it was the lyrics and the raw sincerity, I could see the hard work, I could see how much they wanted to improve and how hard they were on themselves and I just wanted to send them love and appreciation. When they first started BH and BTS were acclimatizing to each other, you can see that even now when you watch their old stuff, but they found their pace, the company got to know them and their vibe and they found the right way to help them enhance it and develop it while BTS found how to let themselves be heard and what they wanted and how go about it in respect to music. But even then, their purpose was clear from the get go, you can see that on their lyrics. They really wanted to help other people, to help them fight for themselves. And BH wanted that kind of artists too, and that's why I think they could find a middle ground.

Their festa sitting down are the best cause they always ask deep sensitive questions and they answer them genuinely. They are my fav cause they really let us in. Now I'm army since January 2014, 6 months after their debut and I was blown away. I was like who are they? I'm from England. Couldn't understand them. But God their music, sharp choreos, energy. You could see the future cause they were so talented and focus. I was hooked.

The first time I heard BTS when I was in the doctor's office for my check-up. That was in 2014. The 3 young nurses were talking about these K-Pop group. So I was listening to them and they were singing in Korean language and sounds really good. So I asked them who they are, they told me it's BTS. So that's the time I've been listening to their music which is do cool especially Hyung. His voice is deep and sounds good to my ears. Since then I never miss listening to them over and over again. Can you imagine in my age (64 1/2 yrs old) love listening to these K-Pop group? But I really love these boys. I became a kpop fan for 7 years. BTS debuted on 2013 and I became an ARMY on 2014 after watching their Danger Dance Practice video. I watched it out of curiosity and because i'm also interested in dancing. I've also watched their Danger MV and found V and Jungkook attractive at first so i begun watching their random videos on KZfaq, and their channel BANGTANTV. Then i realized that i became more and more attached to them because of how different are they from other groups. I see how humble and talented they are. Like how much work they put into a song, their mindset on how they live their lives, their crackheadness and seriousness on every videos. Looks are just looks, thanks to them, i learned to appreciate a persons beauty, every single one of them are beautiful regardless of age, race, language and features, every single little thing they did leave an impression on me to support and love them unconditionally. Now, I'm on my 6 years of being an ARMY, trust me, they are the first group that I cried on for havin their 1st Win on a music show. I've watched them grow on their music industry, even from being a small group from a small company (nearly being bankrupt) I am proud to say that I became an ARMY ever before the whole world recognized them. Every success to them is also my success. Btw, i have binge watch your videos reacting to BTS and i love it. Thank you for your honest reactions to them. Keep it up!

I wasn't there from day one, but I remember listening to No More Dream and thinking.... Wow, I've never heard anyone put into music the actual emotions behind competive entrance exams and us students who have to take them so accurately. Those were not lyrics that could have come from some 'company exec', some 'old suit in a boardroom'... Hot takes about the misery of Asian students in highschool aren't groundbreaking, per se , but it's always in the form of op-eds in local newspapers, you know... At least that's what I'd seen. For the first time, not only did their sentiments resonate with me exactly... They didn't exaggerate it, they believed their words and spoke straightforward.... Not only that, but they turned it into pop music! With a sick upright bass. And rap that had this sort of familiar cadence and feel. And the abs were cringy as heck and their clothes looked stupid, but I was thinking... Ya, those are guys like me! I'm cringy as f, I make myself cringe all the time. These... are people growing up like me. Course, I caught them towards the end of 2017,but their early music was instrumental in making me actually stick around. Songs like Baepsae obviously. I used to watch that one tiny JK vlog from predebut where he says he misses his mom, but must hold on almost daily for a month, the first year of college. Man. After time it became, let's grow up together, let's walk this path side-by-side.

I am an ARMY since 2013. I was scrolling through YT trying to find videos on World of Dance and I accidentally saw the thumbnail with a guy wearing bling (yes, it was Jimin on the thumbnail of No More Dream). I watched the video and from there, I wasn't able to stop watching every single video I find. Now, I'm 39 still loving them. :)

Ive been an army since 2014-2015 and honestly I think the main reason i fell in love with them was their personalities. You can see how kind, funny and hard working they were and yeah, I do think many of us OG armies could see that they would go far. IDK makes me emotional
