My mom told me that her Dad, my grandfather, used to sing this to her when she was a little girl. She would join in and laugh at the “ya, ya, Ya, ya” part. We don’t know why he sang a German song, he was from Australia!Mom passed away less than 2 months ago at 90. She had Alzheimer’s and was in memory care, but told me of this memory about 6 months before she died. I miss her so much!

This is just wonderful. My grandma used to sing this a lot. It's her birthday today, 143 years old. Miss you Gramma ❤️🎶
