Ubadah ibn al-Samit reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever wakes up in the night and says, ‘There is no God but Allah, alone without any partner. To Him belong the dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things. All praise is due to Allah, glory be to Allah, there is no God but Allah, Allah is the greatest, and there is no movement or might but by Allah,’ then he says, ‘O Allah, forgive me,’ or he supplicates to be answered, then if he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1154

laa ilaaha ill-allaahu waḥdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamd, wa huwa ‛alaa kulli shay’in qadeer, subḥaan-allaahi wal-ḥamdu lillaah, wa laa ilaaha ill-allaahu wallaahu akbar, wa laa ḥawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahil-‛aliyyil-‛aẓeem rabbigh-fir lee "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever wakes up at night and says: 'None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone and with no partner, to Him belongs [all] sovereignty and praise, and He is able to do all things; How far from imperfections Allah is, and all praise is for Allah, and none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Allah is the greatest, and there is no power nor might except with Allah, The Most High, The Supreme.' and then supplicates: 'O my Lord forgive me.' will be forgiven." In another narration: "and then asks [for something], he will be answered. If he then performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted."

Please ans my question At the end of this zikr do we have only one option like we can ask for forgiveness by saying Allahuma Ighfir li or we can ask for any other thing??? Only one of these two?? or is it that at the end of zikr we can ask for forgiveness by saying Allahuma Ighfir li after this we can also ask any other dua as well... Plz remove this confusion of mine i hop u understood wht i wanted to ask

thank you for the beautiful question, if you listen carefully at 1 minute and 20 seconds in to the clip.. sheikh clearly explains that whatever Dua you ask in that time and manner will be answered...you must also keep in mind.. when we ask dua from al mighty ALLAH ask with sincerity and complete trust in ALLAH that your dua will be answered... remember if ALLAH does not fulfil your dua immediately that means something better is coming or what you are asking could have some harm for you... for a mou'min whatever happens in their life there is good in it.. as long as you have complete trust in Allah

"None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Alone Who has no partners, to Him belongs Dominion and to Him belong all the Praises, and He has power over all things (i.e. Omnipotent)” this is the meaning of the dua that the sheikh mentions here. This is to be recited when waking up suddenly in the middle of the night with other praises SubhanAllah, alhamdoulilah, Allahu akbar, la hawla ala kuwata illah billah(There is no might nor power except with Allah).

Sovereignty belongs to Him and all the praise is due to Him, and He is Potent over everything سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّ Subhanallah (in Arabic: سبحان الله) meaning “Glory to Allah”. Alhamdulillah (in Arabic: ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ) meaning “Praise be to Allah”. La Ilaha Illallah (in Arabic: لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلله) meaning “There is no God but Allah”. Wa La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (in Arabic: وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّ) meaning “There is no power, no strength but from Allah”

When you just wake up at night for what ever reason. You recite in your bed this dua en make dua afterwards of your choice. Allah will except your dua. When you decide to get out of bed and make wudu and pray. Allah will eccept. Allah a3lam
